Jeremy Coney was one of these gentle medium pace bowlers who did trouble the batsman at times.
Fred Trueman once described Coney's bowling: " Coney runs into bowl, rather, he walks into bowl. He has bowled the ball so slowly, that by the time the ball reaches the other end the batsman has played himself out of form! "
