The majestic cover drive

Tim Lamb was the first CEO of the ECB.
But, as a player, he was one of the worst No. 11 around.
One one occasion, he managed to hit a majestic cover drive, thereby acquiring the title-"Wally Hammond", given to him by Derek Randall, who was one of his team mates.
From then on, he was called as Hammond by his team mates whenever his team batted!
