The bowler Stan McCabe feared most
|
|
Stan McCabe was an excellent batsman during the inter-war period.
He was once asked about who he thought was the most terrifying fast bowler.
He mentioned the names of Larwood and Tyson but his choice was someone else.
It was Victorian fast bowler Harry 'Bull' Alexander.
He had his reasons: "Bull didn't have a clue where he was bowling. And if he didn't know, how could I?"
