Dropped for slow batting

Geoff Clayton was a wicketkepper who played for Lancashire and Somerset.

In the 1964 Gillette Cup semifinal, he came in to bat when Lancashire needed 134 off 20 overs.

He scored 19 in 45 minutes as his team lost the match handsomely.

He was not in the team for the next match and eventually released at the end of the season.
