Dr. Brian Corrigan is well known for his deeds during the 1968 Summer Olympics. At the end of the 10,000-meter race, Australian runner Ron Clarke almost died from the exhaustion caused by high altitude.
Dr. Corrigan ran towards Clarke quickly and saved him from death, thus making him a world-famous name
But seven years before that, he treated Richie Benaud's shoulder during the 1961 Ashes. It played a vital role as Benaud bowled a match-turning spell in the very next Test.
