21-year old Kepler Wessels was very happy with the 46 he scored against the likes of Garth le Roux, Derek Underwood and Imran Khan. It was his first match in World Series Cricket. But his smile evaporated as soon as he met Kerry Packer.
“Mate, I don’t import people to get 40s.”
The smile was back after he scored a century in the next match. This time even Packer was smiling.
