Another disappointing performance by the Zimbabwean batsmen, after being in the driver's seat for a majority of the middle overs. Having lost the toss and put into bat on a gloomy overcast morning, the openers started off positively, but couldn't cope with the seaming conditions and the Indian bowlers did well to keep the ball in the right areas to create problems. But Vusi Sibanda and Sikandar Raza took on the bowlers and put up a fifty-run partnership in quick time. Sibanda in particular looked imperious and struck the ball sweetly. Just as things were looking to be slipping away from the visitors, Chahal triggered a collapse, snaring three wickets in the span of nine deliveries. Drinks are on the field now. Zimbabwe have resisted so far. They were lucky when the ball beat the outside edge on a number of occasions. Another disappointing performance by the Zimbabwean batsmen, after being in the driver's seat for a majority of the middle overs. Having lost the toss and put into bat on a gloomy overcast morning, the openers started off positively, but couldn't cope with the seaming conditions and the Indian bowlers did well to keep the ball in the right areas to create problems. But Vusi Sibanda and Sikandar Raza took on the bowlers and put up a fifty-run partnership in quick time. Sibanda in particular looked imperious and struck the ball sweetly. Just as things were looking to be slipping away from the visitors, Chahal triggered a collapse, snaring three wickets in the span of nine deliveries.
