Pandey became the 12th Indian player to record a fifty on debut before falling for 71. Jadhav though continued to play aggressively after reaching his fifty and registered his maiden ODI hundred in style by hitting a maximum. His last 55 runs came off just 23 balls. Stuart Binny once again played a breezy knock and shared a quick-fire 50-run stand with Jadhav to push India past 275. The pitch isn't all that easy to bat on. At 82/4 things were not looking good for India, but a sensational 144-run stand for the 5th wicket between Manish Pandey and Kedar Jadhav has helped India post a competitive total on the board. Rahane, Vijay and Tiwary went cheaply, while Uthappa threw away a start. However, Pandey and Jadhav played sensibly and upped the ante after spending some time on the pitch.

Kedar Jadhav is the Man of the Match
As the series progressed, the margin of defeats widened for Zimbabwe. In all three matches, they were in a situation where they could have dictated terms, but they gave away the momentum. In the first ODI, after having India on the mat at 87/5, they let the advantage slip. Bhuvi held his nerve with the ball in the last over to take the visitors home. During the second game, the hosts pulled things back after the 112-run opening stand, but their batters failed to rise to the occasion. And today, once again they had India reeling at 82/4 before allowing the visitors to post a good total. Overall, it was always so near, yet so far for Zimbabwe.
Earlier in the day, India registered their highest score of the series. Thanks to the 144-run stand for the 5th wicket between Manish Pandey and Kedar Jadhav. They lost Rahane, Vijay and Tiwary cheaply and were struggling at 82/4 when the duo got together. The pair played sensibly and bailed India out of trouble. Pandey became the 12th Indian to score a fifty on debut and Jadhav recorded his maiden ODI ton in the last over of the innings.
Chibhabha recorded another fifty in the series. However, he was soon running out of partners and when he tried to up the ante, he perished.
