But then, with the score reading 66/9, Elliott and Babar swung their bats in a kamikaze assault, and IT STUNNINGLY CAME OFF. Afridi: They have a very good team and have a good combination. A win against a good team always feels good. We didn't have the energy in the previous game as we were playing continuously. It was a straightforward run-chase for Peshawar Zalmi. Hafeez and Malan started on a cautious note before the former hit his straps. Took a particular liking to Mohammad Nawaz, but also perished to him. Malan initially struggled for timing and so too did Akmal. However, the pair stuck it out and added a 50-run stand. The Englishman made sure he remained unbeaten and took his side home. The Gladiators bowlers tried their best with the score they had.
