Welcome back.. Mitchell McClenaghan has the new ball with him. A slip is in place..

Barring the drop catch that gave Simmons a reprieve, the fielding was on the money. Among the bowlers, Dhawal Kulkarni and Ankit were impressive. The conditions are batting friendly and RAJ still have a chance to overhaul the target.

Ambati Rayudu and Lendl Simmons played fluent hands to guide MUM to an imposing total. Simmons took advantage of a drop catch by Sanju Samson when he hadn't even opened his account to collect a series of boundaries. Simmons was eventually dismissed by Ankit Sharma though, it has to be said that he got a rough decision. Rohit essayed a few sublime shots, but just in the nick of time, Ankit took an excellent catch to send him back to the pavilion. It was Rayudu and Kieron Pollard, who then landed hefty blows to lift the scoring rate.

Rayudu 53(27) Harbhajan 0(0) Theron 4-0-40-1

19.6 - Theron to Rayudu, FOUR, Rayudu reaches his fifty off the last ball. It is his 11th T20 League fifty. Shortish and outside off, Rayudu stands tall and carves it over short third man. MUM coach Ricky Ponting congratulates him as he walks back to the pavilion

19.4 - Theron to Pollard, out Caught by Samson!! That's the end of Pollard. Some reward for Theron. He picks up his first wicket. Change of pace from the bowler, it was short in length, Pollard moves away and looks to swipe it towards cow corner, the top-edge skies up, Samson settles under it and doesn't make any mistake this time around. Ambati Rayudu is the Man of the Match for his 27-ball 53.

Rohit: "Looks like we are starting to peak with our performances. It wasn't easy to defend that total, but we bowled well. When you start winning games, everything looks perfect. We were just struggling to get the balance right, but now we know our best combination. We have got what we wanted and it was good to take those 2 points. He (Rayudu) played brilliantly. He was under pressure at the start of the tournament, but he picked up and played really well today. It is a good batting wicket and it is critical to keep wickets in hand. When I started opening in the first 2 games, people wanted me to come down the order, but me coming down gives a settled look. We are open to suggestions, but for now it is a settled batting line-up."

Watson: "Yes, we have lost a bit of momentum. We were cruising, but it always happens when you are chasing. Malinga is an excellent death bowler and it became more difficult. Samson played really well against him. You always have to pick the positives out of the game. We have to just start winning and with the talent that we have, no reason why we can't."

Earlier, it was Ambati Rayudu, who checked in a series of sparkling shots to lift MUM to a massive total. Lendl Simmons gave a fine start, but once he was dismissed, the hosts lost their way a bit. However, Rayudu and Kieron Pollard picked up the tempo with some meaty blows.

Despite Sanju Samson's heroic efforts, RAJ slipped towards a gut-wrenching defeat. It was Mitchell McClenaghan, who took two scalps in a single over, including that of Samson to change the course of the game. Lasith Malinga then snared Deepak Hooda's wicket to seal their fate. For RAJ, Samson, who hasn't exactly been in good touch this season, played shots in a 360-degree arc to keep the scorecard moving. In fact, the way he smacked Malinga over deep mid-wicket for a six and followed it up with a scoop gave a glimpse of his immense ability. Shane Watson and Steven Smith also played handy knocks. But in the end, MUM just about held their nerve to emerge victorious.

The MUM players shake hands with each other. They are a happy bunch. Vinay exults after he sees that it was only a single. Rohit and Rayudu jump in joy. Sachin is seen applauding and so is Ponting. RAJ slip further, their third loss and their winless streak extends to 5 matches.
