Welcome back.. Warner in the midst of a passionate huddle. HYD have done well defending modest scores. They have a job on their hand.
They came, they nudged around for a while and then left burdening the English import Morgan. Morgan got his eye in and only when he was comfortable with the bowling, batted like a freeman (see what I did there). He stitched a gold-like 67-run partnership with Ojha to get Hyderabad to a total, which once looked like a far-flung dream.
When conditions are not conducive, it is advisable to adjust your plans and aim for a realistic total said no Hyderabad batsmen ever. Their captain got a reprieve early on in the innings when the Giraffe (Morkel) could not control his footing. But Warner did not respect that lifeline and perished soon. Dhawan, like we have been seeing for sometime now, was in a hurry to get back to the comforts away from the sweltering heat.

Earlier, Kolkata bowlers put up a thoroughly professional performance with the ball in hand. Their fielding too was sharp, the tag team effort from the duo of Russell and Chawla took a splendid catch to dismiss Ashish Reddy. Eoin Morgan and Naman Ojha played useful hands to take the hosts to a decent total. However, in the end, it wasn't enough to test Kolkata's opening pair. The Hyderabad need to get inspiration from somewhere, if they are to turn things around.
So, a convincing victory for Kolkata in the end and they move to the top of the points table. Uthappa and Gambhir got them off to a superb start.
