Welcome back. The English openers are out in the middle. Mashrafe Mortaza will start the proceedings. Ali will take the strike first up.

This is going to be an interesting run chase folks. Take a break and join us back at 18:15 local time.

Mahmudullah: "I am feeling very good, but would have been very nice if I got few more runs on the board. I think we are 15-20 runs short. But yeah, very special innings for me. When me and Soumo (Soumya Sarkar) were batting, we just thought we should play normally, just wait for the loose ball and keep batting. Today's game is a very special game for us because we've got a chance to qualify for the quarterfinals. We have to bowl well. I think there is a little bit of grip. It is slowing up a bit. If we take early wickets, we will be in the game. Fielding is a crucial part. This is a very special innings for me and I would like dedicate it to my wife and son."

It is a must-win game for England and they will feel the pressure of chasing down the target. For Bangladesh, it is about taking wickets with the new ball and then, the spinners can come into play.

Anderson generated swing and more importantly, got movement off the deck to take the wickets of both openers, Imrul Kayes and Tamim Iqbal. However, Soumya Sarkar and Mahmudullah helped Bangladesh to make a smart recovery. Jordan provided the vital breakthrough by snaffling the wicket of Sarkar and Moeen Ali followed it up by snaring the wicket of Bangladesh's best player, Shakib Al Hasan. But during the middle part of the innings, they struggled for penetration and the opposition took advantage of it. England though, bowled reasonably well in the end overs to keep the opposition in check.

Mushfiqur Rahim, who stitched a key partnership with Mahmudullah, also made an impact by playing a stirring knock. He took quick singles and improvised to frustrate the English pacers. In particular, the way he slog-swept Chris Jordan for a boundary, gave a glimpse of his superb hand-eye co-ordination. Rahim went on to notch up a well-deserved half-century. In the end overs, he also hoicked Chris Woakes across the line for a six. Earlier, it was Anderson, who bowled an impressive spell to take wickets upfront.

On the back of Mahmudullah's well-measured century, Bangladesh reached a competitive total on the board. It was also Mahmudullah's first century in ODIs and Bangladesh's first in World Cups. After surviving a testing spell from James Anderson, Mahmudullah played with a calm head on his shoulders to keep the scorecard moving. He also played some cracking shots during his innings. When Bangladesh needed to up the tempo, he lofted Stuart Broad over extra-cover for a boundary in the 36th over of the innings.

275 is not a great total, but it is competitive enough. The pitch is still good to bat. Maybe it could assist the spinners later on. It is a tricky target.

49.6 - Woakes to Mortaza, 1 run, slower ball on the leg stump, Mortaza takes his front leg out of the way and slogs, gets an inside edge, the keeper dives to his left and prevents the boundary

49.4 - Woakes to A Sunny, 2 runs, just three balls left in the innings and he opts to gently guide this fullish ball past backward point instead of going hard at it. Sunny returns for the second, a better throw from third man would have been interesting

49.3 - Woakes to Mortaza, 1 run, full and down the leg-side, Mortaza flicks it to deep mid-wicket

Can Bangladesh get to 280?

49.2 - Woakes to Mortaza, FOUR, the captain backs away and swings hard, hits it over the infield as it was full and in the slot, long-off is inside the ring and it runs away for four

Just 4 runs off the over and the wicket of Rahman in it. Top stuff from Jordan.

48.6 - Jordan to S Rahman, out Caught by Eoin Morgan!! This is just the over England wanted at this stage. Full and in the slot, Rahman should have put it away, maybe he was a little late in trying to loft, the bat turns in his hands and it goes up in the air, mid-on runs back a few steps, before completing an easy catch. S Rahman c Eoin Morgan b Jordan 14(12) [6s-1]

Jordan to S Rahman, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

48.2 - Jordan to S Rahman, no run, brilliant inswinging yorker on the off stump, Rahman just manages to dig it out

48.1 - Jordan to S Rahman, no run, oh he's let that go thinking it was a wide! That ball went well inside the line

Mashrafe Mortaza, right handed bat, comes to the crease

47.5 - Broad to Rahim, out Caught by Jordan!! He's mistimed this and Jordan takes an easy catch. Full and outside off stump, the leg-cutter in fact, Rahim tries to go over mid-wicket with a slog, but the ball takes a thick outside edge and goes high in the air, the man at sweeper takes a few steps forward, settles under it and takes it well. End of a fine hand from the former Bangladeshi captain. Rahim c Jordan b Broad 89(77) [4s-8 6s-1]

47.2 - Broad to Rahim, 1 run, oh! He's picked the fielder out perfectly! Short and on the stumps, Rahim backs away and cuts, but hits it straight to backward point. A couple of yards either side of the fielder would have been four

47.1 - Broad to Rahim, 2 runs, short of a length delivery on the off stump, Rahim pulls it over square leg, Moeen Ali runs to his left from deep backward square leg to save two

Stuart Broad [9.0-0-41-0] is back into the attack

45.4 - J Anderson to Rahim, out Mahmudullah Run Out!! Slower ball on the stumps from over the wicket, Rahim guides it to short third man, they try to steal a run, but Woakes fires an accurate throw at the striker's end and catches Mahmudullah well short of his crease. Mahmudullah walks off to a standing ovation. He has played a brilliant knock. Maybe Bangladesh won't mind this wicket as Mahmudullah was looking very tired. Mahmudullah run out (Woakes) 103(138) [4s-7 6s-2]

The dangerman Shakib walked out, but failed to make an impact as Ali fooled him with some intelligent bowling. All the answers coming up after this drinks break.

Mahmudullah is the Man of the Match

Bangladesh will next take on New Zealand in Hamilton. England will take on Afghanistan in Sydney in their last game of the World Cup.

Earlier, Mahmudullah helped Bangladesh to recover after James Anderson struck upfront to leave them in a spot of bother. Mahmudullah played each ball on its merit and looked to anchor the innings. Mushfiqur Rahim also played a key role. He frustrated the English pacers with his flair and improvisation. The way he slog swept Jordan for a boundary gave a glimpse of his ability to play cheeky shots. England though, bowled reasonably well in the end overs to pull the batting side back.

In fact, England made a fine start with Ian Bell and Moeen Ali stitching a brisk partnership. However, Moeen was run out on the back of miscommunication. Bell and Alex Hales looked to build a partnership, but once both of them were dismissed, they struggled to keep the scoreboard moving. Eoin Morgan continued to find runs hard to come by and was dismissed for a duck. Root and Buttler tried to make a good fist of the chase, before Root got out. However, Buttler played with unrestrained bravado to take England closer to victory, but once he was dismissed, they found themselves in trouble. To make it worse for them, Chris Jordan perhaps got a tough decision as he was adjudged run out by the third umpire.

Mashrafe Mortaza and Rubel Hossain produced inspired spells of pace bowling to help Bangladesh script a famous win against England and qualify for the quarter-finals. It also meant that England have been knocked out of the World Cup in the Group stages. Mortaza got just enough movement off the deck to trouble the batsmen and take three wickets. In particular, he bowled a fine leg-cutter to snaffle the key wicket of Joe Root. Hossain too bowled with fire by snaffling two wickets in one over to put Bangladesh in the ascendancy. Thousands of jubilant fans would have certainly erupted in joy on the streets of Dhaka.

Rubel takes off and runs all across the Adelaide Oval. Mahmudullah hugs him, all the Bangladeshi players for a huddle. Rubel lies flat on the ground in joy. The Bangladesh team management comes out to celebrate as well. Rahim is a happy man. Bowling coach Heath Streak pats Rubel on the shoulder and has a long chat with him. Meanwhile, the England team is absolutely gutted. They hold their hands on their faces and look extremely disappointed.

48.3 - Rubel to J Anderson, out Bowled!! Game, set and match. England are out of the World Cup. What a ball under pressure. Full and fast, swinging away from the left-hander as well, Anderson doesn't get behind the line of the ball, stays leg-side and misses it. The ball crashes into the base of middle-stump. Bangladesh have qualified for the knockouts for the first time. J Anderson b Rubel 0(2)

Rubel to J Anderson, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

48.2 - Rubel to J Anderson, no run, edgedddd, but all along the ground to slip. Full and outside off stump, Anderson toe-ends the drive to slip

There is a man at fly slip now!

James Anderson, left handed bat, comes to the crease

48.1 - Rubel to Broad, out Bowled!! Knocked him over. What a bowler. He has tried so hard all day and delivered quality goods when it mattered. Oh no! They are checking for the no-ball, but Rubel is fine. Pacy length ball at 142.2kph, Broad was not only beaten for pace, but the ball also tailed away from him, Broad exposed all the stumps and it hit the top of off stump. This is a timely wicket from Rubel. Broad has a word with Anderson as he walks off. Gestures to him that the ball is revesing a bit. Broad b Rubel 9(6) [6s-1]

Rubel to Broad, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!

Rubel Hossain [9.0-0-53-2] is back into the attack

15 came off the over and England need 16 more to stay alive in the tournament.

47.6 - Taskin Ahmed to Broad, 1 run, slower ball outside off stump, Broad tries to punch off the back foot, the ball goes off the toe-end of the bat and rolls to short cover

47.5 - Taskin Ahmed to Woakes, 1 run, yorker outside off stump, Woakes digs it out to short cover and sets off, Taskin Ahmed under-arms the ball towards the striker's end, but misses. Broad put in a full length dive as well. This is Woakes' highest ODI score

47.4 - Taskin Ahmed to Woakes, 2 runs, in the airrrrrrr and he's dropped him. Is that the match? It was a simple chance. Length ball outside off stump, Woakes mistimes the loft, Tamim ran in from long-on then realises that he has to go back, he does so and gets there in time, tries to reverse-cup it but it pops out. He also tries to grab it with his left hand on the second attempt but it goes to ground. The Bangladeshi fielders and the fans can't believe it

47.4 - Taskin Ahmed to Broad, no ball, 1 run, oh no! It's a waist high no-ball. First warning for bowling a beamer. Taskin Ahmed loses control of this one, it goes well above waist height, Broad tries to guide it fine, but gets the toe end of the bat and it rolls to third man

47.3 - Taskin Ahmed to Broad, leg byes, 2 runs, full and down the leg-side, Broad misses the glance, the ball rolls off the pad to fine leg. A fine little tickle would have been four for Broad and England

Fine leg comes in and mid-on goes back. So the length is going to be full I guess.

47.2 - Taskin Ahmed to Broad, SIX, he's pulled that and he's connected that very well! This man can bat! He's no mug with the bat. Short ball not rising much, Broad rocks back and pulls powerfully and it goes all the way over deep mid-wicket

47.1 - Taskin Ahmed to Woakes, 1 run, yorker on the off stump, Woakes digs it out towards point and sets off

England need 31 runs off 18 balls.

Shakib ends 10-0-41-0.

46.6 - Shakib to Woakes, 1 run, low full toss outside off stump, Woakes advances and drives very hard, the fielder at extra-cover dives to his right and gets a hand on it, the fielder at long-off quickly gets to the ball to prevent the second run

46.5 - Shakib to Woakes, no run, pushed to the right of the bowler

46.4 - Shakib to Woakes, no run, very full, Woakes digs it out, the ball goes past the keeper, Woakes thinks about a run but Broad says no

46.2 - Shakib to Woakes, 1 run, punched down to long-off

46.1 - Shakib to Woakes, FOUR, flighted delivery on the leg stump, Woakes sweeps it along the ground to backward square leg

Stuart Broad, left handed bat, comes to the crease

45.6 - Taskin Ahmed to Jordan, out Jordan Run Out!! Drama! Absolutely drama out there. I didn't see enough conclusive evidence to rule that OUT, but the third umpire thought otherwise. Firstly, why would you go for a non-existent run at this stage Jordan? He pushed this towards cover and set off immediately, the fielder got to the ball and under-armed it onto the stumps. Jordan turned back and put in the dive, he made his ground but the bat bounced just when the ball hit the stumps. Disaster for England. Coach Peter Moores got up from his seat and walked straight to the fourth umpire to have a chat. Jordan run out (Shakib) 0(1)

Taskin Ahmed to Jordan, THATS OUT!! Run Out!!

Run-out check sent upstairs, but I think Jordan is fine! Oh my word! Has the bat bounced after hitting the ground. It has but is the shoulder of the bat in contact with the grass? It's a toughie! He actually made his ground, but just as the ball hit the stump, the bat bounced. I think the shoulder of the bat is grounded. It's a very, very tough one indeed. Good luck, third umpire! He is taking a long look. The zoomer comes in as well. It's very difficult to tell! Oh my word! He's given it OUT. That's a brave call! It's a harsh call I think. Phew!

Chris Jordan, right handed bat, comes to the crease

One slip in place.

Is this the opening Bangladesh wanted to gain the upper hand?

45.5 - Taskin Ahmed to Buttler, out Caught by Rahim!! Is there a twist in the tale? I was just about to type this is surely England's game now and Buttler has nicked one to the keeper. Nothing but a full ball outside off stump, Buttler backs away and looks to run it down to third man, but he was off balance while meeting the ball and gets a thick edge. Fourth catch for Rahim today. Buttler is absolutely distraught in the dug-out and he holds his head with his hands. He shakes his head as well. Buttler c Rahim b Taskin Ahmed 65(52) [4s-6 6s-1]

Taskin Ahmed to Buttler, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

45.4 - Taskin Ahmed to Buttler, 2 runs, nice yorker again, but England manage to get two. Buttler drills it to long-on, Tamim was too deep and it was an easy two in the end

45.3 - Taskin Ahmed to Woakes, 1 run, nice fast yorker on the off stump, Woakes digs it out to backward point and Buttler races to the striker's end

45.2 - Taskin Ahmed to Woakes, FOUR, this time he's picked the slower ball very early, waited for it to come and lofted it easily over extra-cover. Poor thinking from Taskin to opt for the slower ball again

45.1 - Taskin Ahmed to Woakes, 2 runs, slower ball full toss outside off stump, Woakes drives it wide of long-off. "Come on lads, come onnnn," shouts Rahim from behind the stumps

44.6 - Shakib to Woakes, 1 run, on the leg stump, driven to long-on

44.5 - Shakib to Buttler, 1 run, flighted delivery from Shakib, Buttler drives it down to long-on

44.4 - Shakib to Buttler, no run, oh he's hit that very hard and the fielder at extra-cover makes a good save to his left. That was certainly heading to the boundary

44.3 - Shakib to Woakes, 1 run, driven down to long-on

44.2 - Shakib to Woakes, no run, flighted delivery on the leg stump, pushed to the right of the bowler

44.1 - Shakib to Woakes, 2 runs, tossed up wide outside off stump, driven well to deep extra-cover, they take two as the man at sweeper had to run to his right to get to the ball

Shakib Al Hasan [8.0-0-29-0] is back into the attack

England have scored 43 runs off the last 4 overs. Shakib comes on! He has to deliver. Can he? The equation is down to 52 off 36 balls.

43.6 - Rubel to Buttler, FOUR, and again! Almost a Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V of the previous ball. Rubel bowls one full and outside off stump, Buttler sends it to the right of short third man. Bad finish to the over from Rubel

43.5 - Rubel to Buttler, FOUR, brilliant placement! With third man inside the ring, Buttler anticipates a full ball or a yorker and makes room, as it came very full, Buttler sliced the drive with an open face and split backward point and short third man to perfection

43.4 - Rubel to Woakes, 1 run, another yorker attempted and it goes as a low full toss, Woakes drills it to long-on

43.3 - Rubel to Buttler, 1 run, poor ball but he's got away with it. Low full toss down the leg-side, Buttler tickles it to fine leg, when he could have easily hit that for four

43.1 - Rubel to Woakes, 3 runs, in the airrr but there is no one at long-on. Short and outside off stump, Woakes goes for the pull but ends up flat-batting it over mid-on. Fifty partnership comes up as well

Rubel Hossain [8.0-0-40-2] is back into the attack

England need 65 runs off 42 balls.

42.6 - S Rahman to Woakes, 1 run, on the leg stump, flicked to deep mid-wicket

42.5 - S Rahman to Buttler, 1 run, tossed up on the stumps, Buttler drives it wide of long-off

42.3 - S Rahman to Woakes, 1 run, short and spinning away outside off stump, Woakes cuts it to sweeper cover

42.2 - S Rahman to Buttler, 1 run, on the leg stump, Buttler flicks it to deep mid-wicket

42.1 - S Rahman to Buttler, FOUR, short ball, bad ball at this stage, Buttler rocks back and muscles the pull shot through mid-wicket. 7th ODI fifty for Buttler and it's come off just 41 balls. What a knock!

Sabbir Rahman [1.0-0-5-0] is back into the attack

11 runs came off that over, just what England wanted at this stage. Bangladesh will have to be very careful here.

41.6 - Taskin Ahmed to Woakes, no run, very full outside off stump, Woakes drives it to mid-off

41.5 - Taskin Ahmed to Woakes, FOUR, short and wide outside off stump, slapped very hard, there is a man sweeping on the off-side but he can't get there. Woakes hit that very hard and it raced away for four. Second boundary of the over

Fine leg is going back now.

41.2 - Taskin Ahmed to Buttler, no run, short of length delivery outside off stump, Buttler tries to dab it down to third man but gets beaten

41.1 - Taskin Ahmed to Buttler, 2 runs, slower ball full toss outside off stump, Buttler drives it to long-off, good running from Woakes again as he races back for the second

Arafat Sunny [7.0-0-31-0] is back into the attack

Take a bow Mortaza. He finishes: 10-0-48-2. He was not 100%. He was limping almost every time he walked back to the start of his run-up but he has bowled very well. Great commitment! England managed to score just 20/1 in the 5-over batting powerplay.

35.6 - Mortaza to Woakes, 1 run, outside edgeee but doesn't carry to the man at slip. 127.4kph back of a length delivery outside off stump, Woakes defends and gets an edge, he played with soft hands and it didn't have enough wood on it to go to hand. The fielder fumbled to allow the run

35.5 - Mortaza to Woakes, no run, short of length delivery outside off stump, dabbed to point

Chris Woakes, right handed bat, comes to the crease

35.4 - Mortaza to J Root, out Caught by Rahim!! It's a clear nick and it's an easy catch for the keeper. This is a big, big wicket for Bangladesh. The captain has taken another important wicket for his side. He has his hands aloft and runs around the Adelaide Oval like a bird. Leg-cutter on a good length, Root pushes at it away from the body, gets a thin edge and Rahim makes no mistake. Root was holding one end up and Bangladesh have got him. England will have to be very careful here. The batting powerplay has once again done the trick for the bowling side. J Root c Rahim b Mortaza 29(47) [4s-2]

Mortaza to J Root, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

35.1 - Mortaza to J Root, 1 run, slower delivery outside off stump, Root flicks it to mid-wicket

Mashrafe Mortaza [7.0-0-38-1] is back into the attack

Jos Buttler, right handed bat, comes to the crease

That will also be drinks. England have lost their last 3 wickets for 11 runs. They have slipped from 97/1 to 132/5. Bangladesh are well on top and surprisingly it is not the spinners, who are causing the damage. The pacers have picked up 4 out of the 5 wickets. England need a partnership, else they can say goodbye to their World Cup campaign.

29.4 - Taskin Ahmed to James Taylor, out Caught by Kayes!! Excellent captaincy from Mortaza. He had a slip for the new batsman and Taylor has picked him out. It was shortish and outside off, Taylor shuffles across and slashes at it, the outside edge flies to Kayes at first slip. Good take from him. It was a short of length delivery that reared up, Bell went for the glide to third man, the ball got big on him and took the outside edge on the way to Rahim. The umpire checks for the no-ball, but Rubel was fine on that account. It was the effort delivery from him. Bell c Rahim b Rubel 63(82) [4s-7]
