Stuart Broad could miss the Lord's test

Stuart Broad is likely to miss the first test at Lord's after suffering from a heel injury.

Broad just bowled one over for Nottinghamshire in the county championship and was sent off after he complained of pain on his left heel.

The England Cricket Board might pull Broad out of the next county game as he needs to recover and be fit for the Lord's test on 6th July. However, Broad is very keen on playing the Royal London cup final on 1st July.

The Coach of Nottinghamshire said,

Stuart had a bit of pain in his heel. If the situation had been different he could have pushed on through it but there was no need to so he came off and we'll monitor it and look after him.

Stuart Broad's injury is a big threat to England, as they are likely to be without Chris Woakes who is recovering from injury, while Ben Stokes played the Champions Trophy with a sore knee and James Anderson has just recovered from a thigh Injury.

England will be playing their first test against South Africa on 6th of July at Lord's.
