20.0 - Junaid Khan to U Akmal, FOUR, and Akmal finishes it off in style to reach a half-century. Makes some room, and hoists it wide of long-off as Junaid missed out on the yorker

19.2 - Junaid Khan to Delport, FOUR, low full toss which has been pumped to the right of long-on. Loads of bottom hand as Delport picked the bones out of it

16.4 - Riaz to U Akmal, FOUR, my goodness, that's a scorching stroke. Akmal finds out that playing conventional cricket works at any stage. Length ball slanted away outside off, Akmal prods across and blazes a punch on the up through extra-cover. Raced away

16.2 - Riaz to U Akmal, FOUR, Sammy has been presented with another difficult chance, and he's put it down again. Didn't even get a hand in the end. Pitched up wide of off, Akmal tries to launch it down but gets it right off the bottom of the bat. Goes hard and flat to long-off's right where Sammy covers good ground before diving with both hands but he ended up sticking his arms too far out. Went right between them

16.1 - Riaz to U Akmal, FOUR, flayed away over backward point. Lots of room given with the angle from over the wicket, allows Akmal to just flash his hands at it and carve it over the infield

14.3 - Asghar to Delport, FOUR, a really well assembled half-century from Delport. The importance of this knock can't be stressed enough, on what looks a difficult pitch to bat on. Gets there by slapping a half-tracker behind square with a pull

13.0 - Riaz to U Akmal, FOUR, Riaz is a grumpy man. He has every reason to be. His compatriot in the field has let one sneak right under his hands. Driven on the up to the left of mid-off, Junaid ends up over-running the ball with the slide and allows it to go underneath his palms

12.3 - Riaz to Delport, FOUR, short of length delivery angled into the body, Delport moves inside the line of it and simply glances it away fine. Again, once it clears short fine leg, there is no doubting the result

12.2 - Riaz to Delport, FOUR, a good chunk of luck falls Delport's way. Nowhere near short enough to be pulled, Delport still commits to the stroke and nearly chops it on off a thick bottom edge. Instead, the ball whistles past off-stump and past the outstretched arms of the keeper

11.1 - Afridi to U Akmal, FOUR, that's very very well played. Even Afridi is impressed with the stroke. Created his own length by going deep in the crease and plays the back-cut effectively to hit the smallish gap between short third man and backward point

10.1 - Sammy to Delport, FOUR, Delport has looked good since coming in. Looks at relative ease on a sluggish pitch. This time transfers his weight back after judging the length early and pulls it behind square off the middle

7.0 - Sammy to Azhar Ali, FOUR, poor ball. Drags it down with ample width on offer, Azhar slaps it off the front foot past backward point offering sweeper cover no semblance of an opportunity

3.4 - Tait to Azhar Ali, FOUR, wrong lines. Fine leg is up in the ring and Tait dishes an offering on the hips. Azhar rolls his wrists on the ball and glances it wide of the man

2.2 - Junaid Khan to Azhar Ali, FOUR, gives the charge and slaps it over mid-on. That's imperious from Azhar. Despite the bowler shortening his length after seeing him come, he has enough room for an unhindered swing of the arms. Absolutely spanked

0.4 - Junaid Khan to Delport, FOUR, wow. What a start for Delport. Drives a length ball on the up, rather just punches it firmly off the front foot past a diving mid-off

17.2 - Tait to Delport, SIX, this time he stands his ground and muscles the short ball over the square leg ropes. Boy, he timed that well. Took on the fury of Tait's pace and gave it a fair waft

15.0 - Asghar to Delport, SIX, shocking ball to cap off a rather ordinary over from Asghar. Darts it down leg with the length being very short, Delport moves with the turn and wallops the pull over long-leg to send the umpire's arms skywards

5.5 - Asghar to Delport, SIX, goes down on one knee and clouts the slog-sweep over deep mid-wicket. Got it on a perfect length to execute the stroke and then allowed his long levers to do the damage

19.3 - Junaid Khan to Delport, out Caught by Malan!! End of a fine, fine knock which has kept Lahore in with a real chance. Paced his innings so well, and changed gears impressively after his fifty. Couldn't get hold of this one though. Slower short ball which holds up on his attempted pull, he gets it right off the bottom of the bat and spoons it to deep mid-wicket. Delport c Malan b Junaid Khan 78(61) [4s-6 6s-3]

8.5 - Sammy to Azhar Ali, out Caught by Tamim!! Azhar looks to heave one out of the park and falls in the process. Didn't get hold of it at all as the bat-face may have turned slightly on impact and lobs it down to long-on. Azhar Ali c Tamim b Sammy 25(26) [4s-3]

0.3 - Junaid Khan to Gayle, out Lbw!! Oh, massive. Junaid is rapturous in his celebrations and roaring his lungs out. Stayed low slightly from a back of a length while being angled in, Gayle is horribly tardy while looking to work it through the on-side and hit on the knee-roll. Would it have gone down leg? Geez, looks very dodgy. Might not have been the best decisions going around but all that matters is that the big Jamaican is gone. Gayle lbw b Junaid Khan 0(1)

14.5 - Asghar to U Akmal, 1 run, clipped with the angle through mid-wicket

8.0 - Asghar to Delport, 1 run, another one which is fired on leg-stump. Just round-arm darts these with no intention to get turn. Delport ekes out an inside edge onto pad while looking to glance it away and hurries across

14.0 - Adnan Rasool to S Yousuf, FOUR, massive over. 20 runs off it. And Peshawar are back in the contest with a surge. Fired in on the stumps, again not full enough to foil Yousuf's premeditated sweep. He crunches it to the deep backward square boundary

13.5 - Adnan Rasool to S Yousuf, FOUR, woah, the tide is turning. Lahore, surely not. But what brilliant improvisation. Brings out the reverse lap this time and paddles it fine

13.4 - Adnan Rasool to S Yousuf, FOUR, swept away! Fired through on a length where Yousuf had premeditated the shot. Gets it away behind square

12.1 - Delport to Afridi, FOUR, a low full toss which has been whipped hard wide of long-on, and through a chasing Umar Akmal at long-on. He could have done better than just sticking his right hand out

7.3 - Zohaib Khan to Malan, byes, FOUR, the keeper's appealing after the ball nutmegged him, and the umpire's signalled byes. It hit nothing on the way. Malan pre-meditated a reverse-sweep to a ball spinning down leg, a very difficult task. Couldn't make a connection, and the low bounce even deceived the keeper

5.5 - Dwayne Bravo to Tamim, FOUR, with no protection in the deep on the off-side, this is not the line to be bowling. Inches short of the blockhole wide of off, and with the form Tamim is in, he is only seeing gaps. Squeezes the drive past backward point

4.4 - Adnan Rasool to K Akmal, FOUR, it's been an underwhelming introduction by the offie. The focus is just on firing it through. This time he ends up dropping it short outside off, Akmal camps back and slashes it through the off-side

3.4 - K Cooper to Tamim, FOUR, now a leg-stump half-volley which has been flicked away with ease through mid-wicket. This is cannon-fodder with the kind of form Tamim is in

3.3 - K Cooper to Tamim, leg byes, FOUR, this is not on. Just no. After seeing his captain leading from the front in the field, Cooper drifts down leg-side. Although Tamim couldn't get bat on the flick, it runs away fine off his pad

3.1 - K Cooper to Hafeez, FOUR, thrashed past a diving backward point. That's a tripe ball - short and wide - and Hafeez slaps it off the back foot

1.5 - Dwayne Bravo to Tamim, FOUR, hops to ride the bounce of a short of length delivery outside off and upper-cuts it with no one down at third man

1.3 - Dwayne Bravo to Tamim, FOUR, that's Tamim written all over it. A flourishing cover-drive to a length ball. He is so good with these. Plants his foot across and allows his hands to come down on the ball before crashing it in the gap

0.4 - Ehsan Adil to Hafeez, FOUR, cracking stroke over backward point. The ball started swinging early from the arm, allowed Hafeez to lean across and carve it away over the infield

19.4 - Ehsan Adil to Riaz, SIX, this is crazy! With 14 required off 3, Riaz slaps it straight back over long-off. Adil misses with the yorker, and provides length which is enough for Riaz to swipe hard and get under it

16.4 - K Cooper to Sammy, SIX, that's the hitting prowess which Sammy brings. So much power on the bottom hand. Short of length delivery on middle, Sammy makes room and flat-bats the heave over wide long-on

15.5 - Ehsan Adil to Malan, SIX, a massive strike which has tilted the balance considerably in favour of Peshawar. Adil resorts to a slower ball which is picked and gobbled by Malan. Backs away slightly and heaves it over wide long-on

13.2 - Adnan Rasool to Malan, SIX, right, here goes Malan. Enough of flight on the off-break to get under the loft, extends his arms in a nice followthrough to make a decent contact which clears the long-off ropes

9.3 - Zohaib Khan to Malan, SIX, tossed up and that's enough for Malan. He decides to break the shackles and does so with aplomb. Big stride forward on a bent back knee and nails the slog-sweep over the mid-wicket fence

3.0 - Ehsan Adil to Tamim, SIX, oh no! A decent over has just turned into a mediocre one. Short ball but Adil goofs-up with the direction. It's down the leg-side. Allows Tamim to swivel across and help the pull along over long leg. Simply whipped it with an upward bat-swish

18.1 - K Cooper to Malan, out Lbw!! Indeed, what a massive delivery this could prove to be. Cooper couldn't have bowled a better ball. Cannons it right into the blockhole in line with leg-stump to sneak under Malan's swinging willow and smack him on the back pad. This could go a long way in ensuring a win for Lahore. Malan lbw b K Cooper 42(35) [6s-3]

16.5 - K Cooper to Sammy, out Caught by Zohaib Khan!! The umpires have gone upstairs to check if it's a case of a bump-ball, or has Sammy scooped it straight in the air. No, it's the latter. Yorker length delivery just outside off, lands on the pitch before the bat comes down, and is then spooned straight to the fielder at extra-cover. Lahore keep fighting back by ticking away at the wickets. Sammy c Zohaib Khan b K Cooper 6(4) [6s-1]

16.1 - K Cooper to Malan, out S Yousuf Run Out!! The zing bails are flashing after Cooper flicked the ball back on to the stumps in his followthrough. Oh yes, Yousuf is short of his ground. Skiddy back of a length delivery which cramps Malan for room and he chops it at his feet. They decide to take the single on, needless if you ask me, and pay the price. Cooper had the head-start which put him in pole position ahead of Yousuf. Catches him a yard short. S Yousuf run out (K Cooper) 16(11) [4s-3]

12.2 - Delport to Afridi, out Caught by U Akmal!! The Afridi bomb has been defused without much of a flutter. No boom-boom tonight, and Peshawar Zulmi are now in all sorts. Backs away exposing all his stumps to the bowler as he was running in, Delport sticks to the basics and bowls it full and straight. A huge slog ensues, which is botched up and culminates in a slice down to long-on. Akmal is safe as houses under it and takes it with a reverse-cup. Afridi c U Akmal b Delport 9(6) [4s-1]

10.3 - Delport to K Akmal, out Caught by Azhar Ali!! Oh no, this is the last thing Peshawar needed. After taking a sufficient amount of time to get in, Akmal has thrown it away. Backs away a touch and tries to slog a length ball into orbit, couldn't make a clean connection and slices it to deep mid-wicket. Compared to the previous catch he took, this is a doddle for Azhar. Still, he just about holds on with the ball threatening to pop out. K Akmal c Azhar Ali b Delport 18(20) [4s-1]

6.2 - Delport to Tamim, out Caught by Rizwan!! He's hit that, surely has. Yes. Dabbed straight into the keeper's gloves. Made a woody sound and the umpire heard it. Shortish and wide of off, Tamim tries to be cheeky, but couldn't get enough of a connection with an open bat to beat the keeper. Didn't get it off the middle I guess, nicked it behind. Tamim c Rizwan b Delport 30(22) [4s-4 6s-1]

3.2 - K Cooper to Hafeez, out Caught by Azhar Ali!! Azhar Ali has pulled off a ripper! Simply sensational. Hafeez ran down the track, went through with the loft despite the length being pulled back and spooned it off the splice wide of mid-off. Azhar sprints to his left, stretches every sinew of his arms - both of them - and plucks it before his momentum caused him to tumble. Hafeez c Azhar Ali b K Cooper 9(7) [4s-2]
