81.5 - Imran Khan to Kaushal, FOUR, the inside edge is found but it goes past the off stump. Kaushal was looking to leave this good length delivery, he was late in taking his bat out of the way, it takes the edge and beats the keeper's dive as well

79.5 - Azhar Ali to Kaushal, FOUR, it's too short again, Kaushal goes on the back foot and pulls it uppishly over square leg for four

75.5 - Azhar Ali to D Karunaratne, FOUR, oh dear! Imran Khan should have stopped it, but he suggests that he didn't see it. Flighted delivery on the leg stump, Karunaratne advances and lofts it over wide mid-on, the fielder wasn't too far away but he let it go as he did not see it

74.0 - Rahat Ali to Chandimal, FOUR, third boundary of the over. Short of a length delivery outside off stump, Chandimal guides it very late past gully for four more

73.4 - Rahat Ali to Chandimal, FOUR, once again down the leg-side, this time to the right-hander and Chandimal doesn't miss out. Glances this short of length delivery very late and picks up his first boundary

73.2 - Rahat Ali to D Karunaratne, FOUR, poor line and that's easy pickings for Karunaratne. Short of a length delivery down the leg-side, Karunaratne tickles it on its way and it runs away to the fine leg boundary

70.3 - Yasir Shah to D Karunaratne, FOUR, rare bad delivery from Yasir Shah, short and outside off, Karunaratne uses the depth of the crease, cuts it behind point, no one bothered to chase that

65.1 - Ehsan Adil to D Karunaratne, FOUR, wow! What timing on that! Not much wrong with the delivery, back of a length on middle, Karunaratne goes back and flicks it through mid-wicket, it was just a touch-shot and the ball raced away to the fence

63.2 - Azhar Ali to Mubarak, FOUR, lovely use of the feet, this was tossed up outside off, Mubarak gives the charge, takes it on the full and drives it wide of extra cover, the timing ensured that the ball reached the fence

63.0 - Ehsan Adil to D Karunaratne, FOUR, overpitched and plenty of width on offer, Karunaratne doesn't miss out, he leans forward and creams the drive through extra cover, the fielder gives chase but comes second. He is one shot away now from his hundred

60.4 - Ehsan Adil to D Karunaratne, FOUR, classy shot! Nice way to enter the 90s. Everything right about that shot, fuller and outside off, Karunaratne gets a good stride forward and caresses the drive to the right of mid-off, the timing and placement were exquisite

58.3 - Yasir Shah to D Karunaratne, FOUR, bad delivery and got the treatment it deserved. Half tracker outside off, Karunaratne goes back and cuts square of the wicket, no one protecting the fence in the deep

Short of a length delivery outside off stump, Thirimanne goes on the back foot and tries to drive, he went hard at it, the ball took the thick outside edge and flew between second slip and gully. A fielder at third slip would have had it

34.0 - Imran Khan to D Karunaratne, FOUR, lovely drive! This was pitched up around off, Karunaratne puts a good stride forward and drives it straight down the ground off the inside half of the bat, the ball runs away to the fence in a flash

17.4 - Imran Khan to D Karunaratne, FOUR, another half volley and this time Karunaratne doesn't miss out, he presents the straightest of bats and drives to the left of mid-off, no need to run for those. That also brings up the 50-run stand

16.1 - Yasir Shah to D Karunaratne, FOUR, straightaway Karunaratne uses his feet to the leggie, gets to the pitch of the flighted delivery, clips it through mid-wicket, the timing is good enough to earn him a boundary

12.2 - Ehsan Adil to D Karunaratne, FOUR, lovely shot! This was pitched up just outside off, Karunaratne comes forward and drives it past the non-striker, runs away to the fence in no time

89.5 - Yasir Shah to Pradeep, out Lbw!! It's a fifer for Yasir Shah, his 4th in Tests. He has now taken 22 wickets so far in the series and he kisses the ground in joy. The straighter one from Yasir Shah, Pradeep fails to defend off the front foot, the ball hits him in line with off stump and the umpire had no doubt in his mind. Pradeep lbw b Yasir Shah 0(2)

89.0 - Rahat Ali to Kaushal, out Lbw!! Wicket number three for Rahat Ali. Nice and full from Ali, Kaushal gets across the line as he tries to drive, the late inswing beats him and traps him plumb in front of middle stump. Umpire Paul Reiffel raised his finger in a flash. Kaushal lbw b Rahat Ali 18(37) [4s-3]

84.2 - Rahat Ali to Chandimal, out Lbw!! Good review by Pakistan. In fact, this is just the second successful review of the series by Misbah's men. It looked very out to the naked eye and the visitors made good use of the technology. Good length delivery nipping back in, Chandimal misses the flick, gets hit right in line with middle and it was crashing into the top of middle stump. Timely wicket for Pakistan. Chandimal was well set and this is a big wicket just before close of play. Chandimal lbw b Rahat Ali 24(41) [4s-2]

78.0 - Azhar Ali to Dhammika, out Caught by Yasir Shah!! That's a rank long hop but Dhammika has holed out. Azhar Ali is on a hat-trick. Short delivery on the stumps, Dhammika goes for the pull, doesn't keep it down, deep backward square leg runs forward, dives and takes it inches from the ground. Pakistan's fielding has been very poor today but this is a sensational catch. Dhammika c Yasir Shah b Azhar Ali 0(1)

77.5 - Azhar Ali to D Karunaratne, out Stumped!! Azhar Ali gets rid of the centurion and the wicket has come at the right time for Pakistan, just before the second new ball. Karunaratne gets a standing ovation as he walks off the field. Googly just outside off stump, Karunaratne tries to drive, but overbalances and misses the ball, it climbed awkwardly for the keeper, but Sarfraz managed to clutch it with his chest and then effect a stumping. Karunaratne was a long way out of the crease and he couldn't make his ground despite the keeper juggling it. D Karunaratne st Sarfraz Ahmed b Azhar Ali 130(230) [4s-14]

67.0 - Yasir Shah to Mubarak, out Stumped!! It is that man again, Yasir Shah, who provides the breakthrough for Pakistan. He has picked up his 4th wicket and 21st of the series. This was cleverly bowled by the leg-spinner, he expected the batsman to give the charge, slipped in the straighter one, Mubarak is beaten on the outside edge, Sarfraz did well to collect the ball as it bounced a bit more and whipped the bails off. Mubarak st Sarfraz Ahmed b Yasir Shah 25(63) [4s-4]

47.0 - Yasir Shah to Mathews, out Caught by (sub)Babar Azam!! Would you believe it? The Sri Lankan skipper has thrown it away. Nothing shot, a dreadful shot indeed. Flighted delivery on the stumps, Mathews dances down the track and looks to loft-drive the ball, but the bat turns in his hands and he picks out mid-on to perfection. Yasir Shah is pumped after taking his third wicket and why not. He roars and celebrates with his team-mates. He has now taken all three wickets that have fallen in the session. Mathews c (sub)Babar Azam b Yasir Shah 3(12)

44.2 - Yasir Shah to Thirimanne, out Caught by (sub)Babar Azam!! Oh no! That's catching practice and Yasir Shah gets his second wicket. The captain and the coach will not be happy with Thirimanne for playing a rash shot. Nothing but a flighted delivery just outside off stump, Thirimanne advances and drives, but doesn't control it and hits it straight to mid-off, who didn't have to move an inch. Thirimanne c (sub)Babar Azam b Yasir Shah 11(30) [4s-2]

34.5 - Yasir Shah to Tharanga, out Caught by Younis Khan!! Finally, Pakistan get their second wicket. Tharanga falls four short of his fifty. This was floated up outside off, Tharanga gets drawn into the expansive drive and goes hard at the ball, he gets an outside edge that deflects off the keeper's thigh and lobs up for Younis, who moves forward and takes the catch after putting in a dive. Yasir Shah is delighted to get his first wicket of the innings. Tharanga c Younis Khan b Yasir Shah 46(92) [4s-6]

4.3 - Rahat Ali to Kaushal Silva, out Caught by Sarfraz Ahmed!! This is a big, big wicket for Pakistan. This was a back of a length delivery angled across off, Silva was looking to play inside the line of the ball, he can't get his bat out of the way and the ball takes the outside edge to the keeper. Kaushal Silva c Sarfraz Ahmed b Rahat Ali 9(11) [4s-2]

88.3 - Rahat Ali to Kaushal, no run, good length delivery swinging back in, Kaushal fails to defend, the ball hits him on the back thigh pad, impact was in line with off stump, but technology shows that it was just clipping the top of off stump

64.0 - Azhar Ali to D Karunaratne, 2 runs, 100 for Karunaratne, his second in Tests and first at home. He is elated as he completes the second run, raises his bat and acknowledges the applause from his mates. Mubarak also hugs him and congratulates. Coming to the ball, it was floated up outside leg, Karunaratne shimmies down the wicket, whips it wide of deep mid-wicket, comes back for the second before the ball is hunted down

36.2 - Yasir Shah to D Karunaratne, 2 runs, gives the charge and clips this tossed up delivery just outside off past a diving mid-wicket, the batsmen take a couple before long-on runs to his left and stops the ball. This brings up Karunaratne's 7th Test fifty as well

12.0 - Imran Khan to D Karunaratne, no run, pitched up and on middle stump line, Karunaratne fails to work it away into the on-side and wears it on the pad. The ball hits him low on the pad and the Pakistanis were confident about the lbw there. Umpire Gould though reckoned that there was an inside edge involved. Pakistan review, but the third umpire upholds the onfield call

56.4 - Dhammika to Yasir Shah, FOUR, short and wide outside off stump, Yasir cuts it very late, beats backward point and it runs away for four

55.1 - Kaushal to Sarfraz Ahmed, FOUR, flighted delivery on the leg stump, Sarfraz waits for the ball and flicks it through backward square leg. That was so easily done

20.4 - Dhammika to Azhar Ali, FOUR, poor ball from Dhammika this time. This was a full toss outside off, Ali opens the face of the bat and drives it to the left of backward point, who dives but couldn't stop the ball. It runs away to the fence in no time

20.3 - Dhammika to Azhar Ali, FOUR, edged and four! This was on a good length and outside off, Ali was looking to push it into the off-side with an open face, ends up getting an outside edge that runs away in the gap between second slip and gully, runs away to the fence in no time

20.0 - Pradeep to Shafiq, FOUR, dropped! The ball flew towards the fielder at second slip, but he couldn't react it time. It was short and wide outside off, Shafiq goes hard on the cut, he ends up getting an outside edge that flies over second slip, who leaps up and tries to take it, but the ball bursts through his hands. He didn't reach quickly there and that will go down as a chance

10.0 - Lakmal to Ahmed Shehzad, FOUR, lovely cover drive! This was pitched up outside off, Shehzad comes on the front foot and drives it beautifully past a diving cover, races away to the fence

2.4 - Dhammika to Masood, FOUR, it's the off-drive this time, mid-off is way too square and it's another boundary. Full and just outside off stump, Masood leans forward and drives it all along the ground, he didn't try to hit it too hard

2.1 - Dhammika to Masood, FOUR, excellent looking straight drive from Masood. Full and just outside off stump, not much of swing on this one, Masood leans forward and drives it past the umpire for four

66.0 - Kaushal to Imran Khan, out Bowled!! Sri Lanka gain a 63-run lead. Flighted delivery on the stumps from round the wicket, Imran plays for the turn and plays inside the line as he looks to defend, the ball goes past the outside edge and knocks out the off pole. Unfortunately, Imran Khan is yet to get off the mark in Test cricket, despite this being his 5th game. One should also remember that this is the first time that he's got a chance to bat in an innings. Imran Khan b Kaushal 0(8)

59.5 - Kaushal to Rahat Ali, out Lbw!! This is plumb in front and umpire Paul Reiffel raises his finger in a flash. Flighted delivery on the stumps, Ali plants his front foot forward to defend, plays outside the line and gets hit right in front of middle stump. Pakistan are nine down and they still trail by 76 runs. Rahat Ali lbw b Kaushal 2(11)

56.5 - Dhammika to Yasir Shah, out Caught by Chandimal!! Poor shot from Yasir Shah, who was giving great company to Sarfraz Ahmed. Full and well outside off stump, Yasir plays a loose drive and gets an outside edge, the ball was dipping on Chandimal, but he did well to dive forward and glove it inches from the ground. End of a gritty 45-run stand. Yasir Shah c Chandimal b Dhammika 18(37) [4s-1]

45.5 - Kaushal to Ehsan Adil, out Lbw!! Pakistan are falling apart. Adil goes without troubling the scorers. This was bowled quicker and on the stumps, the ball keeps low as well. Adil was caught in the crease as he was looking to defend, he fails to connect with the bat and the ball raps him low on the pad. Umpire Reiffel had no other option but to raise his finger as that was plumb. Ehsan Adil lbw b Kaushal 0(1)

45.0 - Pradeep to Misbah, out Lbw!! Pakistan have lost their captain. This was mighty full on the stumps, Misbah comes across and looks to work it away, he misses and the ball hits him low on the pad in front of middle and leg. Umpire Gould immediately raised his finger after the Sri Lankans went up in appeal. Misbah reviewed but Hawk-Eye showed that the ball was clipping the leg stump. Pradeep actually delivered that ball from wide of the crease and outfoxed the Pakistani skipper. Misbah lbw b Pradeep 6(17) [4s-1]

40.5 - Pradeep to Azhar Ali, out Caught by D Karunaratne!! This is a big, big wicket for Sri Lanka. Ali walks back disappointed. This was pitched up and invites the batsman to drive, Ali obliges and goes hard at the ball, the outside edge is found and it flies towards second slip at a comfortable height, Karunaratne takes it with ease. Azhar Ali c D Karunaratne b Pradeep 52(96) [4s-8]

31.2 - Dhammika to Shafiq, out Lbw!! The rain break has definitely helped the Lankans here as Shafiq departs. It was a length delivery angling in on middle stump line, Shafiq was rooted to the crease as he looked to defend. He misses and the ball hits him on the pad in line with middle stump. Umpire Reiffel raised his finger in a flash and Shafiq knew he was a goner as the ball would have gone on to hit middle and leg. Shafiq lbw b Dhammika 15(38) [4s-2]

18.2 - Mathews to Younis Khan, out Younis Khan Run Out!! Suicidal single from Younis and he pays the price for it. This was angled in on off and middle, Younis drops it in front of mid-wicket and sets off, Silva quickly gets across, picks the ball and fires a direct-hit at the non-striker's end to catch Younis short of his crease. This is the first time in 9 years that Younis Khan has been run-out in Tests. Younis Khan is only the second batsman after Sachin Tendulkar to complete 1000 Test runs in Sri Lanka. That will also be lunch on day 2. Younis Khan run out (Kaushal Silva) 3(24)

11.3 - Pradeep to Ahmed Shehzad, out Caught by Chandimal!! Ohh dear! Shehzad has thrown his wicket away. This was not a wicket-taking delivery, but Sri Lanka won't mind it one bit. This was a length ball shaping away in the corridor outside off, Shehzad was looking to leave it but was a little late to pull his bat out of the way. The ball goes straight off the face of the bat and settles into the hands of the keeper. Both the openers are back in the hut now. Ahmed Shehzad c Chandimal b Pradeep 21(29) [4s-5]

8.5 - Dhammika to Masood, out Lbw!! Dhammika bowls a yorker on the boots of Masood, who fails to dig it out and the ball hits him around the leg stump line. Umpire Gould took his time, but raised his finger soon after Dhammika went up in appeal. The ball was clipping the leg stump and Pakistan lose a review. Masood lbw b Dhammika 13(33) [4s-2]

53.3 - Kaushal to Yasir Shah, no run, flighted delivery on the stumps, Yasir fails to defend, the ball spins back in and hits him in line with leg stump, but it was doing too much and snaking past the leg stick

52.0 - Kaushal to Sarfraz Ahmed, 2 runs, poor line, on the leg stump, Sarfraz tickles it fine to fine leg for a couple of runs. That gives him his 7th Test fifty

38.3 - Pradeep to Azhar Ali, 1 run, 20th Test fifty for Ali! This was on a length outside off, Ali comes forward and pushes it through the backward point region with soft hands for a single

37.5 - Dhammika to Azhar Ali, no run, angling in from outside off, the ball straightens as Ali comes forward to drive, the ball shapes away and goes past the outside edge. The sound was from the bat brushing the pad and it's a good decision from the third umpire

4.3 - Dhammika to Masood, no run, poor call from Sri Lanka to review this. It wasn't convincing enough to send it upstairs. Short of a length delivery just outside off stump, Masood looks to pull, but misses, the ball made a sound as it passed Masood, but it just brushed the shirt. Chandimal was confident and asked Mathews to review

93.4 - Imran Khan to Pradeep, FOUR, again Imran Khan bowls it on a good length and just outside off. It also nipped away off the seam a bit to catch the outside edge with Pradeep pressing half-forward, but it goes past the third slip fielder for a boundary through third-man. Unlucky for Imran

92.2 - Yasir Shah to Mathews, FOUR, well Yasir drags it short, Mathews pulls it to wide long-on, the fielder puts in the dive, but can't save the boundary. He didn't seem to pick it up quickly

91.1 - Imran Khan to Mathews, FOUR, well Mathews has decided to up the ante. He uses his feet to this back of a length delivery, doesn't exactly gets it onto the middle of the bat, but heaves it wide of mid-on for a boundary

90.5 - Rahat Ali to Mathews, FOUR, short ball from Rahat Ali, Mathews gets across towards the off-stump and pulls it for a boundary. The game is running away from the visitors

87.1 - Imran Khan to Kaushal, FOUR, short of length delivery and down the leg-side, Kaushal flicks it to fine leg for a boundary. Useful runs for Sri Lanka

85.0 - Rahat Ali to Mathews, FOUR, that's a cracking drive. He moves to 99. Full and wide outside off stump, Mathews leans forward and plays the drive, hits it very hard onto the ground and it bounces over the man jumping high at cover

84.0 - Ehsan Adil to Chandimal, FOUR, nicely done! Short of a length delivery swinging away outside off stump, Chandimal opens the face of the bat at the last moment and guides it between second slip and gully. Both fielders had no chance

83.2 - Ehsan Adil to Mathews, FOUR, overpitched and on the pads, Mathews flicks it all along the ground through backward square leg, he timed that very well, Rahat Ali runs to his left from long leg, he got close to the ball but opted not to employ the dive for some reason

81.0 - Rahat Ali to Mathews, FOUR, excellent shot from the Sri Lankan skipper. Fullish and swinging back in, Mathews plays a stylish flick shot, the ball rolls along the ground through mid-wicket for four

79.3 - Ehsan Adil to Chandimal, FOUR, short and wide outside off stump, Chandimal rocks back and cuts well through point, the fielder in the deep runs to his right and dives but the ball wins the race

75.2 - Imran Khan to Chandimal, FOUR, edgedddd, but all along the ground. Fullish and nipping away, Chandimal looks to defend with soft hands, the ball takes the outside edge and it runs through the gap between second slip and gully

68.0 - Azhar Ali to Chandimal, FOUR, that was a little too close to cut, but Chandimal played it well in the end. It was flatter outside off, Chandimal waits for the ball to arrive, cuts it very late and gets it fine, runs away to the third man fence in a jiffy

67.0 - Yasir Shah to Chandimal, FOUR, once again bowls it well down the leg-side, Chandimal kneels down and sweeps it fine, races away to the fence in no time. That was a poor ball from Yasir and got the treatment it deserved

66.2 - Yasir Shah to Chandimal, FOUR, edged and four! This was floated up outside off, Chandimal gets drawn forward to play the drive, goes after it and the edge flies past the slip, the fielder near the rope tries to pull it back with a dive, but the ball escapes past him

66.0 - Azhar Ali to Mathews, FOUR, lovely shot! This was floated up, Mathews gets under it and lofts it over mid-on, the ball runs away to the fence

56.0 - Rahat Ali to Chandimal, FOUR, Misbah brought the fielder in from deep backward point and the ball goes exactly there. Shortish and just outside off, Chandimal cuts it late and to the left of backward point

54.5 - Yasir Shah to Chandimal, FOUR, loose delivery and Chandimal cashes in, width on offer and Yasir dropped it short as well, Chandimal gets on top of the bounce and cuts it in front of square, picks up his first boundary of the innings

48.5 - Yasir Shah to Mathews, FOUR, 22nd fifty for Mathews. Gets there in style. The captain has made up for missing out in the first innings. This is a crucial knock as far as Sri Lanka are concerned. Floated up on the stumps, Mathews dances down the track, gets to the pitch and drills it straight down the ground

46.4 - Yasir Shah to Mathews, FOUR, Yasir gives this plenty of air, but ends up bowling a low full toss, Mathews leans forward and flicks it through mid-wicket, Imran Khan gives chase from mid-on, but comes second

45.2 - Imran Khan to Mubarak, FOUR, classy shot! That is the second time he has played the cover drive in this innings. Everything perfect about the shot. The timing, placement and balance. Overpitched outside off, Mubarak gets a good stride forward and caresses it through extra cover, no need to run for those

40.3 - Yasir Shah to Mubarak, FOUR, ohhhh! It was a short and wide delivery, Mathews just throws his bat at it and gets it onto the toe-end of the bat to the keeper. Mathews' crackerjack knock comes to an end. He has certainly put the hosts in pole position. Pakistan's target is 377 and it will be tough for them to chase it down. Mathews c Sarfraz Ahmed b Imran Khan 122(252) [4s-12 6s-1]

93.3 - Imran Khan to Lakmal, out Caught by Sarfraz Ahmed!! Imran has his fourth wicket. Fuller from Imran Khan and just outside off, Lakmal plays away from the body and pushes at it for the keeper to complete a simple catch. 90.0 - Imran Khan to Kaushal, out Caught by Sarfraz Ahmed!! Imran continues to impress as he has snared another wicket! A tad fuller that angled into the right-hander, before straightening after pitching a wee bit to catch the outside edge of Kaushal. 85.3 - Imran Khan to Dhammika, out Caught by Sarfraz Ahmed!! Superb delivery from Imran Khan as it pitched on a good length and nipped away off the seam to catch the outside edge of Prasad, with the keeper completing the catch. Dhammika c Sarfraz Ahmed b Imran Khan 0(1)

85.2 - Imran Khan to Chandimal, out Lbw!! Well Chandimal's fine knock comes to an end. 11.0 - Rahat Ali to Thirimanne, out Bowled!! Very full ball from Rahat Ali has done the trick! It swung away late from the batsman, Thirimanne tried to jam it down, but is too late onto it. He was clearly beaten by the late movement and was also hanging back in the crease. He tries to dig it out, the ball goes past the outside edge and crashes into the off stump. In short, a dream delivery for any bowler to bowl.Thirimanne b Rahat Ali 0(11)

7.5 - Ehsan Adil to Kaushal Silva, out Caught by Misbah!! This is a dream start for Pakistan. Both the openers are back in the hut very early. It was a good length delivery outside off stump, the ball once again deviated away off the seam, it took the outside edge and flew towards first slip, where the Pakistani captain moved quickly to his right and grabbed it inches from the ground. That was a terrific low grab from Misbah. In fact Silva played this with soft hands as well, hence it died down on its way to the slip fielder. Kaushal Silva c Misbah b Ehsan Adil 3(16)

6.2 - Rahat Ali to D Karunaratne, out Bowled!! That is an unplayable delivery from Rahat Ali. Good length delivery pitching on off stump line, Karunaratne plays for the left-armer's angle from over the wicket, but it nips away off the seam, opens him up completely and sneaks past the outside edge to hit the top of off stump. 93.5 - Imran Khan to Pradeep, no run, dropped! Misbah has dropped the catch at 1st slip. It was a good length delivery and just outside off, Pradeep again presses half forward as he pushes it and it takes the outside edge but only for Misbah to go to his left and spill the catch

87.0 - Rahat Ali to Mathews, 2 runs, Mathews has composed his fifth Test hundred and his 2nd against Pakistan! It has been a superb ton from Mathews as he has twinned caution with aggression in this knock. He raises his bat to acknowledge the applause from the crowd and his team-mates. Well that is a surprise as to the naked eye it seemed to be at least clipping the leg-stump

15.0 - Rahat Ali to Mathews, no run, Pakistan belt out a huge appeal for lbw, but the on-field decison turns out to be not out. Pakistan go up for the review, it turns out that the ball was going over the off-stump. 81.5 - Pradeep to Misbah, byes, FOUR, short of a length delivery and just outside off, Misbah presses half-forward and gets beaten as it bounces extra, the keeper didn't expect it to bounce that much and was on his way down, suddenly realised that it was going over his head and tried to reverse-cup it, but couldn't make a clean stop.
