48.4 - A Russell to de Villiers, FOUR, back of a length delivery from Russell, de Villiers rocks back and pulls it towards deep mid-wicket, the fielder dives to his right but can't get a hand on it, the umpires check whether it was a six or a four, but the ball bounced before the rope

46.2 - A Russell to de Villiers, FOUR, great improvisation from AB! It was full outside off, de Villiers shuffles across his sticks, kneels down and plays a one-handed sweep of sorts - just sensational stuff - to the fine leg fence for a boundary, the fielder was inside the circle

43.2 - Benn to de Villiers, FOUR, touch flatter and outside off, de Villiers shuffles across once again, bends on his knees and sweeps it airily towards the fine leg fence for back-to-back boundaries

41.2 - Benn to Rossouw, FOUR, low full toss from Benn, a gift for Rossouw, who doesn't disappoint and drives it to the deep extra cover fence

41.0 - A Russell to de Villiers, FOUR, this is just great batting from de Villiers, he dances down the track to this fullish and wide delivery outside off, reaches out and lofts it to the wide long-off fence

37.4 - J Holder to de Villiers, FOUR, goes for the yorker but ends up bowling a low full toss, de Villiers drills it uppishly over the bowler's head, who fails to get his hands on it, the ball runs away to the long-off fence as the fielder was inside the circle

36.4 - Jerome Taylor to de Villiers, FOUR, great shot from the South African captain, it was overpitched from Taylor, de Villiers drives it down the ground to the long-off fence, the fielder from long-on gave chase but he had no chance

36.3 - Jerome Taylor to Rossouw, no ball, FOUR, on a good length and outside off, Rossouw waits for it inside the crease, opens the face of the bat and places it beautifully between the fielder at short third and backward point, to make matters worse, he has overstepped there

36.1 - Jerome Taylor to Rossouw, FOUR, poor ball to start the over from Taylor, it was a full toss but it had to be put away, Rossouw did just that as he drove it magnificently through the covers, the ball runs away to the fence

35.0 - Jerome Taylor to Rossouw, FOUR, banged in short and at the batsman, the ball sits up nicely for Rossouw to short-arm pull it to the deep backward square leg fence, good way to end the over

32.4 - Sammy to Rossouw, FOUR, rank long hop from Sammy, bowled from over the wicket, Rossouw had plenty of time to rock back and muscle the pull past the diving mid-wicket fielder, Gayle had no chance of stopping that in the ring

32.3 - Sammy to Rossouw, FOUR, bad delivery from Sammy and Rossouw dispatches it. Drops it short and angles it in from round the wicket, Rossouw goes back and pulls it in the air over mid-wicket, only fielder in the deep and he beat him comfortably

28.5 - Samuels to du Plessis, FOUR, brilliant shot! It was not all that short, but Faf made good use of the crease, backs away and lofts it off the back foot over extra cover. The slowness of the wicket allowed him to play that shot

26.2 - Sammy to du Plessis, FOUR, both batsmen are shifting gears, pitched up just outside off, Faf gets a good stride forward and lofts it handsomely to the long-off fence. The fielder was inside the circle and it was a calculated hit from du Plessis

15.1 - Benn to Amla, FOUR, short and wide, Amla goes on the back foot and cuts it powerfully to the deep backward point fence, the fielder that no chance of stopping that one

14.4 - A Russell to du Plessis, FOUR, shortish one again from Russell, du Plessis gets back slightly and pulls it along the ground to the deep mid-wicket fence

3.5 - J Holder to de Kock, FOUR, de Kock was very lucky there! He stays back and pushes at this fullish delivery from Holder, the ball takes the inside edge and flies past the leg stump to the fine leg fence

0.5 - Jerome Taylor to de Kock, FOUR, pitched up this time around off, de Kock leans into the drive, presents the full face of the bat and drills it through the extra cover region, excellent placement once again from de Kock, Samuels at the rope sticks his boot to stop the ball but is not able to prevent the boundary

0.2 - Jerome Taylor to de Kock, FOUR, a boundary to get off the mark. Nicely done by de Kock, good placement by him. It was a back of a length delivery outside off, de Kock gets back and punches it square of the wicket, the fielder slides near the rope but is not able to stop the ball from crossing the fence

50.0 - J Holder to de Villiers, SIX, shuffles across to this low full toss angling in around off, gets under it and hammers it over the deep square leg boundary for another six, this was just too good from de Villiers, after conceding 34 runs in the last over, Holder concedes 30 in this one. This is also the highest score on Australian soil

49.5 - J Holder to de Villiers, SIX, full on the stumps, de Villiers launches it over the long-off fence for another maxmimum, he missed out on the fastest 150 in the last month, but this time he has done it

49.2 - J Holder to de Villiers, SIX, shuffles across to this fullish delivery on middle stump line, de Villiers gets under it and launches it over the deep backward square leg fence, this is just too good for the West Indies' captain

48.2 - A Russell to Behardien, SIX, Behardien joins the party now, it was full and around off, Behardien gets under it and sends it up and over the long-off fence for his first maximum, great batting from the South Africans here

48.0 - J Holder to de Villiers, SIX, on a length and on the stumps, de Villiers smashes it to the deep mid-wicket fence, the ball sails well over the rope - 34 came off that Holder over, the 2nd most expensive over in WC history

47.2 - J Holder to de Villiers, no ball, SIX, de Villiers gets his century in style, this is the 2nd fastest hundred in World Cup history, de Villiers makes it 3 in 3 against West Indies in World Cups, it was length around off, de Villiers just launches it straight down the ground for another maximum, Holder overstepped as well on that occasion

45.0 - A Russell to de Villiers, SIX, what a shot! He shuffles across, goes down on one knee and plays the scoop to perfection, the fielder at fine leg was inside the circle and even if he was at the rope, he would have seen it sailing into the crowd, where a gentleman takes a great catch

39.3 - Benn to de Villiers, SIX, floated up on middle stump, de Villiers makes room and lofts it beautifully inside-out over cover, 100 of the partnership comes up in just 60 balls

38.5 - Jerome Taylor to Rossouw, SIX, Rossouw gets to his 2nd ODI fifty in style, this was just too good a shot, it was banged in short and well outside off, Rossouw jumps high in the crease and cuts it well over the deep backward point fence for a maximum, super shot from Rossouw

24.3 - Sammy to Amla, SIX, Amla brings up his 28th ODI fifty. A superb shot to get to the landmark. He waves his bat at the crowd. It was on a length just outside off, he hits it through the line straight back over the bowler's head. The ball had enough to clear the boundary rope

46.4 - A Russell to D Miller, out Caught by Jerome Taylor!! That is a sensational catch from Taylor at the long-on boundary. The umpires check for the no-ball and then Taylor's foot, but it is all fine. It was a fullish delivery just around off, Miller goes for the loft, but doesn't get the desired distance. Taylor from long-on runs to his right, puts his right hand out and plucks the ball out of thin air. He managed to keep his feet away from the rope as well. That is just a superb piece of fielding, catch of the tournament so far. The celebrations were also not bad. Russell goes flat on the ground in front of Taylor's feet and Sammy doffed his cap twice to show his respect to Taylor, all in good fun. D Miller c Jerome Taylor b A Russell 20(16)

42.1 - A Russell to Rossouw, out Caught by Ramdin!! Rossouw perishes for the cause. Neverthless, it was a great innings as it provided the impetus for the hitting in the end overs. It was on a good length and around off, Rossouw backs away and looks to go big over covers, but gets a thick outside edge. Ramdin takes a simple catch to his left. This also ends the 134-run partnership between him and de Villiers. de Villiers pats him on the back as he walks past him. Rossouw c Ramdin b A Russell 61(39) [4s-6 6s-1]

29.4 - Gayle to Amla, out Lbw!! Well, well he has removed both set batsmen. Amla has a chat with Rossouw before making his way back to the pavilion. It looked dead as soon as the ball thudded into the pads. It was pushed through, skids on after pitching, Amla shuffles across and misses the nudge through the on-side, was struck right in front of middle stump. That is as plumb as you can get. Those two wickets has brought West Indies back into the game. Amla lbw b Gayle 65(88) [4s-1 6s-1]

29.2 - Gayle to du Plessis, out Caught by Ramdin!! The man with the golden arm strikes! Gayle breaks the dangerous looking partnership. It was an excellent take from Ramdin. There was a bit of extra bounce on that occasion, du Plessis made room and was looking to go over extra cover, gets a thickish outside edge and Ramdin snaffles it at chest height. For a second, no one really bothered to appeal, but umpire Davis raised his finger. In fact, the ball got stuck in the webbing of Ramdin's gloves. du Plessis c Ramdin b Gayle 62(70) [4s-3]

5.4 - J Holder to de Kock, out Caught by A Russell!! Big wicket for West Indies. de Kock has played that straight into the hands of the cover-point fielder. It was a short of length delivery from Holder outside off, de Kock stays on the back foot and cuts it hard, Russell just has to move slightly to his left and snaffles an easy take. Holder is pumped up and so are the rest of the fielders. de Kock c A Russell b J Holder 12(19) [4s-3]

48.5 - A Russell to de Villiers, 1 run, dropped by Smith! It was fuller length outside off, de Villiers uppishly drives to extra cover, where Smith tries to reverse cup it, but floors it, Holder is not happy with the effort

47.5 - J Holder to de Villiers, 2 runs, slower ball from Holder, de Villiers mistimes the loft, Benn runs back from mid-off, tries to dive, but can't even get a hand on it, the batsmen take another two

47.0 - A Russell to de Villiers, 1 run, run-out chance missed! It was angling away outside off, de Villiers mistimes the punch to the left of the bowler and sets off, the bowler was quick to move across to his left, grabs the ball, turns and fires in the throw at the non-striker's end. de Villiers was nowhere near the crease had Russell got a direct-hit, but he survives

26.3 - Sammy to du Plessis, 1 run, now, Faf reaches his fifty, his second successive fifty. Amla walks up and congratulates him. Slower delivery on off, du Plessis works it to mid-wicket for a single

25.5 - Benn to Amla, 1 run, again not off the middle, it comes off the inside half and trickles away to long-on. That run brings up the 100-run stand between these two

31.5 - M Morkel to Jerome Taylor, FOUR, top shot! He didn't try to overhit the ball. Full and in the slot, Taylor just plays an extended lofted punch and it flies over wide mid-off

30.4 - Kyle Abbott to J Holder, FOUR, nicely played! Short ball from Abbott, Holder rocks back and pulls very well through mid-wicket for four more

29.5 - Tahir to J Holder, FOUR, full and outside off stump, Holder lofts it over extra-cover and the ball beats Parnell, who runs to his left from long-off

28.3 - Kyle Abbott to Jerome Taylor, FOUR, he's hit that with one hand! Abbott attempts the inswinging yorker, but it goes as a low full toss, Taylor tries to dig it out and goes at it without the bottom hand grip, the ball flies over wide mid-on and escapes to the boundary

24.4 - du Plessis to Ramdin, FOUR, goes deep in the crease and delays the cut, gets the placement right as he sends it to the left of short third man, the Giraffe gives chase but he was gently jogging

23.1 - Tahir to J Holder, FOUR, nice front foot drive from Holder. Nice and full from Tahir, Holder leans forward and drives it along the ground through cover

12.2 - M Morkel to Ramdin, FOUR, that's nicely played by Ramdin, this was short and wide from Morkel, Ramdin gets on top of the bounce and cracks it square on the off-side for a boundary

9.2 - Kyle Abbott to Dwayne Smith, FOUR, much better from Smith, pitched up and in the slot outside off, he gets a good stride forward and drags it over mid-on, a couple of bounces and over the ropes for a boundary

8.3 - M Morkel to Dwayne Smith, FOUR, that's in Smith's area! This was pitched up and held its line around off, Smith leans forward, gets underneath the ball and lifts it high and over wide mid-on, one bounce and over the ropes for a boundary

7.4 - Kyle Abbott to Dwayne Smith, FOUR, Smith gets lucky again, this was full and just outside off, Smith went for the big heave over mid-wicket, he wasn't looking at the ball, gets a thick inside edge that brushes past the off-stump and races away to the fence

5.5 - Kyle Abbott to J Carter, FOUR, Carter is off the mark and in some style! This was banged in short and on the stumps, Carter swivels back and pulls it exquisitely over square leg for a boundary

5.3 - Kyle Abbott to Dwayne Smith, FOUR, that's much better from Smith, long half-volley from Abbott, full and way outside off, Smith gets a big stride forward and drives it sweetly past cover for a boundary

32.2 - Steyn to J Holder, SIX, my word! The bat made a sweet sound as it made contact with the ball. Steyn overpitches and pays the penalty. Full and outside off stump, Holder lofts it easily over wide long-off

30.0 - Tahir to J Holder, SIX, ends the over in style and that spoils Tahir's figures a bit. Flighted delivery from Tahir, Holder takes his front leg out of the way and smashes it over long-on

21.5 - Tahir to J Holder, SIX, wonderful hitting from Holder, he's reading Tahir well, it's the googly, Holder watches it all along, takes it on the bounce and lifts it over mid-off, has enough to clear the ropes on the full

19.3 - Tahir to J Holder, SIX, Holder has some revenge for all the hammerings he endured! This was tossed up invitingly and well outside off, he clears his left leg and tonks it high and over long-off for a maximum

1.0 - Steyn to Dwayne Smith, SIX, lovely shot, fraction too short and just outside off, Smith is quick to transfer his weight on the back-foot and pulls it high and over deep mid-wicket, there's a fielder there but he's a mute spectator. 10 runs from the first over

33.1 - M Morkel to Benn, out Caught by Amla!! Game, set, and match. South Africa win by 257 runs. This is the joint highest victory margin by runs in World Cups. Short ball around the off stump, Benn tries to fend, but the ball takes the shoulder of the bat and Amla takes an easy catch at first slip. Benn c Amla b M Morkel 1(3)

32.4 - Steyn to J Holder, out Caught by Amla!! That is a soft dismissal for Holder. Steyn gets his name into the wickets column too. Short of a length delivery outside off stump, Holder looks to pull, but gets it high on the bat, the ball goes straight up in the air and mid-on completes a simple catch. Holder went leg-side, but Steyn followed him and cramped him for room. End of a fine innings from the West Indies captain. J Holder c Amla b Steyn 56(48) [4s-3 6s-4]

26.0 - Tahir to Ramdin, out Bowled!! That's his maiden fifer in ODIs and he's done it in a World Cup. Googly from Tahir, it was bowled slower through the air, Ramdin plays all around it and missed it completely. The ball crashes into middle and leg. Tahir runs and does the Sajda! Ramdin b Tahir 22(47) [4s-2]

17.4 - Tahir to A Russell, out Caught by Kyle Abbott!! Fourth wicket for Tahir and West Indies are plunging towards a humiliating defeat. This was the leg-break that was attempted by Tahir, he ends up dragging it short and well outside off, the ball spun away as Russell shaped for the cut, he gets a thick top-edge and to the right of short third man. It looked like it would fall in no-man's land, but Abbott dives forward, gets his fingers underneath and holds onto an excellent catch. A Russell c Kyle Abbott b Tahir 0(3)

17.1 - Tahir to Sammy, out Stumped!! Excellent keeping from de Kock. South Africa have been very sharp today. This was tossed up invitingly by Tahir, the googly outside off, dipped onto the batsman as he got forward, the momentum of the shot dragged his foot out of the crease. de Kock is quick to whip the bails off, Sammy was struggling to get back, his feet was in the air when the bails went up. The third umpire has a look and sends him on his way. Sammy st de Kock b Tahir 5(11)

12.0 - Tahir to Simmons, out Lbw!! West Indies are crashing towards a humiliating loss here! This was the attempted googly from Tahir, went straight through after pitching, Simmons was prodding half-forward, the ball rapped him low on the pads. The impact was on middle and it was going nowhere but middle of middle. Simple call for umpire Davis, Simmons walks away without even thinking about a review. West Indies have lost half their side. Simmons lbw b Tahir 0(2)

11.1 - Tahir to Dwayne Smith, out Caught by D Miller!! Now, Smith falls! West Indies are falling away! A wicket off the first ball for Tahir, but that's a stunning take from Miller at long-on. This was tossed up and just outside off, Smith went for the big hit straightaway, he struck it well all-right, but hadn't counted for Miller. He runs to his left at long-on, leaps in the air and takes the catch overhead, tumbles down and holds onto it, in front of the sightscreen, that's a superb catch. He's mobbed by his mates, West Indies are in tatters. Dwayne Smith c D Miller b Tahir 31(34) [4s-4 6s-1]

11.0 - M Morkel to J Carter, out Caught by de Villiers!! AB can't do anything wrong today! This was banged in short and just outside off, Carter was struggling on the pull all along, the ball goes high off the bat and to the left of mid-on. AB runs across a few paces to his left, slides and comes up with the catch. The umpire checks for the front-foot no-ball, but Morkel is fine this time around. West Indies lose their third wicket. J Carter c de Villiers b M Morkel 10(20) [4s-1]

3.3 - Kyle Abbott to Samuels, out Caught by de Kock!! This is wonderful bowling from Abbott, and West Indies have lost both the centurions from the Zimbabwe match. This was pitched up and in that corridor outside off, nipped away a fraction. Samuels was nowhere behind the line as he wafted at that, the outside edge is found and de Kock holds on gleefully, moving across to his right. West Indies chase is all but over now. Samuels c de Kock b Kyle Abbott 0(9)

1.3 - Kyle Abbott to Gayle, out Bowled!! That's a massive jolt for West Indies! A terrible shot from Gayle, this was pitched up and nipped back in a fraction. Gayle backed away on the big slog, misses and the timber is rattled. Abbott is chuffed as he celebrates with his mates, a big shot attempted by Gayle, perhaps a bit too early in the piece. He was looking to put Abbott under presssure, but all he's done is to put his own team under pressure. Gayle b Kyle Abbott 3(4)

7.2 - Kyle Abbott to Dwayne Smith, no run, Tahir has dropped one now diving forward, this was a good length delivery and around off, Smith was looking to slug it away over mid-wicket, the bat turned in his hands and ends up looping towards mid-on. Tahir got both hands and allows the ball to slip away, he pushed his hands at that, the ball hit his wrists and bounced out

4.3 - Steyn to Dwayne Smith, 1 run, that's a chance and Steyn has missed it. Smith was early into the push, the ball goes off the inner half of the bat and lobs back towards Steyn, at a comfortable height, looked like he lost it completely, by the time he put his hands above, the ball had already gone past him

31.3 - M Morkel to J Holder, 1 run, maiden ODI fifty for Holder. Back of a length outside off stump, Holder punches it through cover-point. He gets a good round of applause from the crowd. Taylor shakes hands with his captain to congratulate him on the milestone

6.5 - M Morkel to J Carter, 1 run, Dwayne Smith had given up! A poor call from Carter, punches it straight to mid-off and calls for a quick single. Rossouw was quick on the ball, gets a good bounce, has time to aim at the striker's end, he misses though and Smith survives
