49.5 - Riaz to A Russell, FOUR, everything seems to be reaching the fence. Riaz follows him with a short delivery, Russell was ducking for cover, but still went through with the pull, the top-edges flies down to the fine leg fence

49.2 - Riaz to A Russell, FOUR, hammered! This is all raw power from Russell, length delivery right in the slot, Russell flexes his muscle and drills it to the right of mid-off, the fielder didn't even move

47.4 - Riaz to A Russell, FOUR, leg-cutter on off and middle, Russell makes room to free his arm, the length is there for him to do so, he drills the drive to the right of mid-off, who stood there watching the ball go past him

47.3 - Riaz to A Russell, leg byes, FOUR, Russell backs away to the leg-side, Riaz follows him and fires it on the pads, Russell can't get any bat on that, but the ball runs away after brushing the pads. The short fine was inside the ring

46.1 - Sohail Khan to Sammy, FOUR, that travelled to the fence in no time. Misbah is quick to go to his bowler and have a chat. Short and plenty of width on offer, Sammy cuts it up and over backward point, he didn't bother to hit it along the ground

45.5 - Riaz to Sammy, FOUR, Riaz was a bit predictable and Sammy was waiting for it, short of length around off, Sammy stays leg-side of the ball and pulls it right between deep mid-wicket and long-on. The fielder was just a few meters away, but he couldn't get there

44.2 - Sohail Khan to Sammy, FOUR, finally, Sammy gets a boundary, not a convincing shot but he will take it. Dug in mid-way down the wicket, Sammy swings across the line and the top-edge flies over the keeper for a four

41.5 - Sohail to Simmons, FOUR, cracking shot! It was full and on the stumps, Simmons kneels down and sweeps it to deep square leg, the fielder was brought inside the circle and Simmons seized the opportunity

41.4 - Sohail to Simmons, FOUR, what is Irfan doing at long-on at this stage of the innings? Well, Misbah has moved him from that position now. Simmons takes a couple of steps down the wicket and drags the heave towards wide long-on, Irfan never looked like getting there

40.5 - Afridi to Simmons, FOUR, provides a bit of width and pays the price. Afridi knew that it was four as soon as he bowled that. Simmons goes back and flashes a cut, the ball goes off the outer half to the left of short third man

39.2 - Sohail to Ramdin, FOUR, nicely done! Good way to bring up a fifty. It was not all that short, Ramdin uses the depth of the crease, plays it late and pierces the gap between backward point and short third man

38.1 - Afridi to Simmons, FOUR, poor ball from Afridi, short and outside off, Simmons with the form he is in, does not miss out, goes back and cuts it between backward point and short third. Both fielders didn't even bother to move

34.3 - Sohail Khan to Ramdin, FOUR, superb shot! It was just a flick of the wrist and away she goes. Sohail Khan drops it short and on off, Ramdin fetches it from there and pulls it behind square for a boundary

31.0 - Sohail to Ramdin, FOUR, 18 off that over. Fourth four in the over. Short and wide outside off, Ramdin cuts and beats a clumsy looking dive from Irfan at backward point. Poor bowling and this over has given West Indies impetus

30.3 - Sohail to Ramdin, FOUR, third in a row. Misbah and Sohail have a chat. Down leg, Ramdin swings it over the backward square leg fielder in the ring, once he cleared that man, it was a boundary

30.2 - Sohail to Ramdin, FOUR, Afridi can't stop the ball now. A fierce cut from Ramdin and Afridi running around from sweeper can't get across, he didn't dive too. The ball is following Afridi

30.1 - Sohail to Ramdin, FOUR, now Ramdin slog-sweeps and finds the boundary. Kneels down and finds the gap

27.2 - Irfan to Ramdin, FOUR, Ramdin wanted to go over mid-on, but the short ball hurries on and Ramdin's pull goes wide of mid-off. Irfan looks a bit bemused

25.2 - Maqsood to Darren Bravo, FOUR, short and wide outside off, Darren Bravo is a very good cutter of the ball, goes back and cuts hard and between point and short third

23.1 - Riaz to Samuels, FOUR, Samuels executes the pull superbly. It was bowled at pace and bounce, Samuels had made up his mind to pull and controlled the stroke through mid-wicket, rolled his wrists beautifully to play it down, the ball was rearing up on Samuels, who did brilliantly to counter it

17.3 - Riaz to Darren Bravo, FOUR, Riaz produces an outside edge, but it goes to ground and runs away past the lone slip, Darren Bravo opened the face at the last moment, but it was an edge, third man can't get across

11.4 - Sohail to Darren Bravo, FOUR, dragged down Darren Bravo blasts a pull wide of mid-wicket, rocked back and smashed it, giving long-on no chance

9.3 - Sohail Khan to Samuels, FOUR, cracker! Pitched up outside off, Samuels drills a drive with minimal feet movement, Sohail Khan was trying to take evasive action as the ball rocketed past him, mid-off just stood there and admired the stroke

8.5 - Irfan to Samuels, FOUR, Irfan and Samuels have a word after the batsman gets a boundary. Late on the pull this time is Samuels, as the extra bounce catches him by surprise, but the top edge flies over the keeper and into the boundary. A staring match ensues at the end of the shot

8.4 - Irfan to Samuels, FOUR, Samuels is looking to play his shots. He backs away slightly and then allows the short ball to come, pulls over mid-wicket, connected well and it's a boundary

7.1 - Sohail Khan to Dwayne Smith, FOUR, Dwayne Smith cuts that hard and late, gets it in the gap wide of point, poor delivery and Smith really made Sohail Khan pay for that

6.3 - Irfan to Dwayne Smith, FOUR, short and wide outside off, Dwayne Smith latches on, reaches out and cuts over cover-point

1.3 - Sohail Khan to Dwayne Smith, FOUR, shot! Dwayne Smith shows the full face of the bat and drives that past the umpire and Gayle, mid-on had no chance, hit on-the-up and timed supremely well

0.1 - Irfan to Dwayne Smith, FOUR, so nearly gone! Dwayne Smith closing the face on that middle stump delivery - in trying to flick, gets a leading edge that eludes the right-hand of the diving point, runs away to the boundary, the fielder didn't even get a hand on that. Close call that for Dwayne Smith, but he won't mind it

49.4 - Riaz to A Russell, SIX, the slower balls are not working against Russell, who is spotting them early and taking full toll of it, he clears his front leg and thumps it straight over the bowlers head. Another flat hit by the big Jamaican

48.5 - Sohail Khan to A Russell, SIX, Russell is dealing in sixes at the moment. His third in the over. Sohail Khan dishes out a length delivery and Russell dispatches him into the crowd, he picks it up and flicks it all the way for a maximum

48.4 - Sohail Khan to A Russell, SIX, monster! It was the slower delivery and Russell picked it very early. He moved to the leg-side and swatted it across the line over deep mid-wicket. That ball hardly left the ground

48.1 - Sohail Khan to A Russell, SIX, Ian Bishop on air says, "that could have been a six anywhere in the world". And it was a mistimed hit from Russell. Short and on the stumps, Russell swivels and pulls it over backward square leg. He got it off the top-edge

46.3 - Sohail Khan to Sammy, SIX, Sohail Khan misses the yorker and Sammy sends him out of the park. Slower delivery that ends up being a full toss, Sammy does well to get underneath it and heave it over cown corner for a maximum. He knew he had connected well as he stood and admired the shot

41.2 - Sohail to Simmons, SIX, dropped in the crowd, tossed up on off and middle, Simmons goes down on one knee and slog sweeps it into the crowd at deep mid-wicket. The spectator went for glory and tried to take it with one hand, he missed and loses out on a million dollars

36.3 - Afridi to Simmons, SIX, fantastic shot! Mind you he was hitting this against the turn. Floated up on off and middle, Simmons goes on his knee and slog sweeps it right between deep mid-wicket and long-on for a maximum

50.0 - Riaz to A Russell, out Simmons Run Out!! 2 runs completed. The duo tried to make the most of it and Simmons fell trying to pinch a third run. Yorker on middle and leg, Russell manages to squirt it off the inside part of the bat to fine leg, the fielder had to run in a long way, they decided to go for the third, even a dive from Simmons could not save him. A very good throw from Sohail Khan, right on top of the stumps. Simmons run out (Sohail Khan/U Akmal) 50(46) [4s-4 6s-2]

47.1 - Riaz to Sammy, out Caught by Afridi!! Afridi has held onto a catch. It is his third attempt for the day and the easiest of the lot. Short of a length delivery, hurried onto Sammy, who was looking to play the pull, the ball hits the splice of the bat and ballooned towards backward point, Afridi runs to his right and takes it comfortably. Sammy c Afridi b Riaz 30(28) [4s-3 6s-1]

39.5 - Sohail to Ramdin, out Caught by (sub)Yasir Shah!! Yet another batsmen who throws it away at the wrong time. This was nicely bowled by Sohail. Slows this up considerably, Ramdin was looking to go across the line and towards cow corner, gets a thick leading edge and the ball skies towards long-off, Yasir settles under and reverse cups it. Ramdin c (sub)Yasir Shah b Sohail 51(43) [4s-7]

24.1 - Sohail to Samuels, out Caught by (sub)Yasir Shah!! In the air and gone. Sohail strikes first ball in his second spell. Samuels charged Sohail and tried to go over long-off, but didn't get to the pitch of it, sort of outside edged it and Yasir takes a regulation catch, protecting his eyes from the sun with one hand covering his face. Samuels c (sub)Yasir Shah b Sohail 38(52) [4s-4]

7.5 - Sohail Khan to Dwayne Smith, out Caught by Sohail!! Caught at 2nd slip. Sohail Khan roars with both his arms stretched out wide ala Umar Gul. Back of a length outside off, Dwayne Smith edged the back foot defensive and it carried comfortably to Haris' left. Smith is furious with himself as he walks back. Deserved wicket for Sohail Khan, he has bowled outstandingly in this spell. Dwayne Smith c Sohail b Sohail Khan 23(27) [4s-4]

5.0 - Irfan to Gayle, out Caught by Riaz!! Now Irfan gets his man. Gayle going for a big pull and can only get a top edge, which is held by Riaz running in from fine leg. That's the difference between an athletic fielder and a sloppy one. Riaz covered good ground and made the catch look easy, tumbling as he took it. Irfan points skywards in celebration. Gayle c Riaz b Irfan 4(14)

45.1 - Riaz to Simmons, 1 run, dropped! I have lost count of the number of catches that have been put down today. 4 or 5? It was short and angling into the batsman, Simmons arches back and helps it towards third man, Irfan does all the hard work, gets to the ball, dives forward and takes it, but once he hits the ground it pops out

29.0 - Sohail to Darren Bravo, 1 run, Afridi drops another catch. Darren Bravo pulls hard and finds Afridi at backward square leg, inside the ring, hit very hard and Afridi drops it. The hands are up and it has gone down. Afridi holds his right palm in pain. He needs some attention

20.0 - Riaz to Samuels, 2 runs, dropped by Afridi at mid-wicket. Samuels splicing a pull as the short ball got big on him, the ball went to mid-wicket where Afridi made ground, but drops it after getting there. Should've held on after getting two hands. A life for Samuels

18.1 - Afridi to Samuels, no run, has that been dropped? Umar didn't glove it properly. Tossed up and lured Samuels into the drive, turned away to miss the edge, replays show that the ball missed the bat

4.5 - Irfan to Dwayne Smith, 1 run, dropped by Jamshed at third man. What a clanger that is. Dwayne Smith charged Irfan and went for an ugly swipe across the line, gets a top edge, it was circling around third man, Jamshed came running around and got both hands, but spilt it. It wasn't an easy catch, but once Jamshed got there, he should've held on.

49.1 - Riaz to Simmons, 1 run, hundred followed by fifty for Simmons, it is his 16th in ODIs. Russell walks up to him and congratulates Simmons. Short and down leg, Simmons helps it down to fine leg with a pull

31.2 - Riaz to Darren Bravo, 1 run, Darren Bravo is down and has been hit by the throw. From Shehzad at point. Ooh! The ball has missed Darren Bravo. It must be his hammy. It is. A leading edge as Bravo was squared up, they take a quick single, Bravo was struggling as the hammy gave way, he is down on the ground as I type this

33.5 - A Russell to Afridi, FOUR, Afridi plays the cute stroke and gets four. Short and dug in, Afridi ramps it over Ramdin, beats third man easily

31.3 - A Russell to U Akmal, FOUR, whippy whip! Length delivery angling in to Akmal, Akmal just plays the pick up stroke over mid-wicket, the uncorking of the wrists did the trick, almost all the way, one bounce over the ropes

29.5 - Sammy to Afridi, FOUR, this time some pre-meditation from Boom Boom. Fuller and just outside off, Afridi shuffles across, kneels down and scoops it over short fine, the ball bounces just before the rope

29.4 - Sammy to Afridi, FOUR, Afridi plays it very cleverly, waits for the ball to arrive and steers it down to third man, he almost played it off the keeper's gloves. No chance for the fielder in the deep

29.2 - Sammy to Afridi, FOUR, not so lucky this time, drifts another one down leg, Afridi leans forward and tickles it fine, easy pickings as the fielder was inside the circle

27.4 - Sammy to U Akmal, FOUR, cracking shot! Nice way to bring up his fifty. It was a real hit-me-delivery, short and outside off, Akmal hammers the cut square of the wicket, no chance for the sweeper to stop that. Afridi goes up and embraces him in a hug

25.0 - Benn to Maqsood, FOUR, fifty for Maqsood! It has been a fine innings from him. Gets to the milestone with a terrific hit. Shimmies down the wicket, meets the pitch of the ball and lofts it over mid-wicket for a one bounce four

17.2 - Sammy to U Akmal, FOUR, edged and safe! There is no one at slip and the ball runs down to the fence. Fuller and outside off, Akmal goes for the drive and nicks it through the vacant slip cordon

15.3 - Sammy to Maqsood, FOUR, fantastic shot! Sammy tries to overcompensate and pitches this one up, Maqsood is ready for it, leans forward and creams the drive through the diving cover, the timing was exquisite on that

15.0 - A Russell to U Akmal, FOUR, super shot! Overpitched outside off, Akmal gets a good stride forward and drills the drive to the right of mid-off, the timing was excellent as the ball raced away to the fence

13.2 - J Holder to U Akmal, FOUR, lovely shot! He is looking to counter-attack. Pitched up outside off, Akmal walks across and drives it past a diving cover. He rolled his wrists to keep it along the ground

9.5 - J Holder to Maqsood, FOUR, fabulous shot! The best shot of the innings. It came right off the meat of the bat. Fuller and around off, Maqsood leans into the drive and creams it to the left of mid-off, the timing was sublime on that

9.4 - J Holder to Maqsood, FOUR, "catch it" was the shout but the ball was well over the in-field. On a length just outside off, Maqsood comes forward and hammers it in the air over cover.

5.5 - J Holder to Misbah, FOUR, rare loose delivery and Misbah is onto it. Short and provides the batsman with plenty of room, Misbah gets on top of the bounce and cracks the cut through cover-point, first boundary of the innings

15.2 - Sammy to Maqsood, SIX, can't bowl short at Sammy's pace. The short delivery sat up nicely for Maqsood, who moved across and nailed the pull over backward square for a maximum

12.3 - A Russell to U Akmal, SIX, Russell thought he had a wicket there, banged in halfway down the wicket, Akmal goes for the hook, top-edges it towards fine leg, Benn tried to keep it in, but the ball had enough to sail over him

39.0 - Benn to Sohail Khan, out Caught by Ramdin!! West Indies crush Pakistan. Sohail Khan didn't want to waste any time. He went for a big slog sweep and top-edged it straight up in the air, there were lots of calling from the West Indians. The one call was 'keeper, keeper' and Ramdin ran forward to hang on to the skier. He throws the ball away in delight as his mates come to surround him. Sohail Khan c Ramdin b Benn 1(8)

36.2 - Benn to Afridi, out Caught by J Holder!! Afridi is a disappointed man. He swings a low full toss straight to the fielder at mid-wicket. Holder holds on at the edge of the circle. Easy catch and West Indies just need a wicket to win this game now. Afridi c J Holder b Benn 28(26) [4s-4]

35.3 - A Russell to Riaz, out Caught by Ramdin!! Nips back in and Riaz is cramped for room, gets an inside edge onto the pads, in trying to flick, Ramdin did well to dive forward and get his gloves under the ball. Third umpire ruled it out after having a look. West Indies were convinced that they had got their man and seemed pretty relaxed about it all. Riaz c Ramdin b A Russell 3(13)

31.4 - A Russell to U Akmal, out Caught by Dwayne Smith!! Akmal falls into the trap and holes out. Akmal is livid with himself, while Afridi cuts a sorry picture. Another well-timed whip but Akmal has picked the fielder to perfection at deep mid-wicket. Russell can't do anything wrong today. He roars in celebration. Is that the end for Pakistan? U Akmal c Dwayne Smith b A Russell 59(71) [4s-5 6s-1]

25.3 - Sammy to Maqsood, out Caught by Benn!! Wow! That is a magnificent catch from Benn. Sammy breaks the partnership and he celebrates with his hands aloft. It was a low full toss, Maqsood tries to get under it, is not able to do so, toe-ends it back over the bowlers head, Benn runs to his left from mid-on, dives full length and hangs onto it with both hands. He also sees that the ball doesn't pop out when he dives, that is a superb effort from the big man. Maqsood c Benn b Sammy 50(66) [4s-4 6s-1]

10.3 - A Russell to Misbah, out Caught by Gayle!! Superb take by Gayle! Misbah kicks the turf in disgust. It was a poor delivery, short and outside off, Misbah goes for the cut, edges it to the left of first slip, Gayle shows good reflexes, moves quickly and takes it with a reverse cup. Pakistan have lost half their side and looking down the barrel. Misbah c Gayle b A Russell 7(21) [4s-1]

3.1 - J Holder to Ahmed Shehzad, out Caught by Simmons!! West Indies are on fire! Skipper, Holder joins in the fun. He takes off on a celebratory run and the rest of his mates run behind him to catch him. It was some inspired field placing from Holder. He brought in a gully at the start of the over and Shehzad finds him to perfection. Pitched up closer to off, Shehzad drives with laden feet, the ball takes the outside edge and flies to gully. Pakistan have lost 4 wickets for 1 run. The worst possible start in World Cup history? Ahmed Shehzad c Simmons b J Holder 1(10)

3.0 - Jerome Taylor to Sohail, out Caught by (sub)J Carter!! Another one goes down! Not a wicket taking delivery, but West Indies and Taylor will take that. It was short and outside off, Sohail stands tall and cuts it in the air straight to backward point, Carter on as a substitute for Bravo, juggles before taking it on the second attempt. Pakistan are in deep trouble now. Sohail c (sub)J Carter b Jerome Taylor 0(6)

1.0 - Jerome Taylor to Younis Khan, out Caught by Ramdin!! Golden duck for Younis! Perfect delivery to get first up. The West Indian players are elated as they know the importance of this wicket. Taylor pitches it up and gets the ball to shape away, Younis had to play at it, he pushes without any footwork, the outside edge settles nicely into Ramdin's gloves. What a start for West Indies! Younis Khan c Ramdin b Jerome Taylor 0(1)

0.2 - Jerome Taylor to Jamshed, out Caught by A Russell!! End of a horrid day for Jamshed. Taylor digs it in short and gets it to climb, Jamshed goes for the pull and gets a top-edge, the ball spoons towards mid-wicket, Russell runs to his right from square leg and snaffles an easy take. Just the start West Indies would have hoped for. Jamshed c A Russell b Jerome Taylor 0(2)

17.1 - Sammy to U Akmal, 2 runs, dropped! It was a tough one, but you need to take those. Length delivery, Akmal fetches it from outside off and drags it to short mid-wicket, Gayle gets both hands and it bursts through them. He should have reacted faster.

12.0 - J Holder to Maqsood, no run, dropped! Holder has his hands on his knees. He should have had one more there. Short and outside off, Maqsood flashes hard and gets a thick outside edge, it was flying over Sammy at second slip, who leapt to his left and tried to parry it to Gayle at first slip. But, he was also on the move and in the end, it will go down as a dropped chance
