It was the quicker one on middle and leg, Samuels was looking to work it through the on-side, but fails to make a connection. He is hit on the knee-roll and the umpire gave it out after a prolonged appeal from the Irish. Hawk-Eye shows that it was crashing into leg and it was a good decision. Shortens the length around off, Gayle is opened up as he looks to defend, he gets a leading edge to the left of backward point, Gayle wanted the single and sets off immediately, Bravo was not interested and was late in responding, McBrine takes aim and hits the bulls-eye at the striker's end. 7.3 - K O'Brien to Dwayne Smith, out Caught by J Mooney!! The bowling change has worked. And the ploy to keep mid-on back was a masterstroke from Porterfield. O'Brien is delighted. It was fuller and just outside off, Smith wanted to go over mid-off, the bat turns in his hands, gets it off the inside part and it balloons to long-on, Mooney runs forward and hangs onto a good catch. Ireland become the first team to successfully chase down a total in this World Cup. Maybe they needed Mohammad Irfan at mid-off, as a few of the boundaries have just about managed to clear the fielder inside the ring

38.1 - J Holder to N O'Brien, FOUR, 13th ODI fifty, this has come off just 38 balls and what a hand he's played. Full and in the slot, this is unacceptable from West Indies. After scoring a hundred, Simmons said in the innings break that the slower balls aren't stopping on the batsman, the West Indies bowlers seem to have misread the pitch. They continue to take pace off the ball and bowl full, a set batsman like O'Brien doesn't miss out on those juicy balls and he muscles it over mid-off and it's almost a maximum
